Lingard should be seen in the same vein as O'Shea and Fletcher or Park. Good squad player or water carrier type. The issue is that he gets to play far too much due to not having better players or players suited to the role required.

This - comparing Lingard to Park and Fletcher is no slight at all as those two were fantastic for United. The problem with Lingard in this respect is twofold: first, like you say, he’s having to play more often and in a weaker overall side than those two did; second, we’re playing him in a role that calls for more creativity than he can provide, as was evident on Monday.
Completely agree, Clockwork

lingard does not deserve to be compared to players who dominated cl semi finals and played key roles in title winning seasons. park and fletcher did that.

As I said, he’s playing in a much weaker team. We’ve still won a few trophies in his time, e.g. the FA Cup and Carabao Cup. He scored in both those finals.

Idiotic comment there. Neither of those players were useful to United. One has to question your football knowledge to make such comparison.

Did you actually watch Kleberson and Djemba Djemba? If you did you wouldn't be going on about their stats as either being useful or better than Lingard. It is why your comment is idiotic.
