Tommy Robinson might not have anything to do with this particular incident no, but he's part of a large problem of demonising certain groups of people and spreading propoganda aimed to make you angry and cause hate and division.
The attacker today literally said in his own manifesto that he wants a race war between Europeans and Muslims, and he repeated a lot of anti Muslim propoganda that you often see shared on social media.
It's not that much of a stretch to see why people like Robinson are being mentioned.

I take the Sam Harris view that something like Islam is better defeated by discourse in media and in public spheres.
At the moment, it’s in a protective bubble with no room for any progressive discourse.
It’s not scapegoating. It’s a sign of the times. For example, Roman Catholics was more dangerous in the 30s for its open alliance with fascism and antisemitism.

It's odd, many people have criticised Islam and Muslims but you use specifically a person who is racist as your example in your agreement to criticise Islam and Muslims as he doesn't like brown people. Yet you find it hard to see why people make the link?
I find myself agreeing with Winston over the Melanie Phillips article. It's a poor article to use to back your point up.
Markle has been slated by many people, some who have slated her, are racists, xenophobes, classists, and bigots. To deny there isn't is same to being blind. The campaign of looking down upon her started with how much the media put the spot light on her family members such as her sister and father. To think it started later would be ignoring how they reported how she left out her father for the wedding or didn't invite her sister, etc. Compare that with what Middleton has faced and it pales in comparison.
People will naturally look at why this is and if the criticism is fair or over the top. People who are her friends and who have suffered abuse due to their skin colour will naturally feel its that. I don't 100%agree with them. I also believe her nationality and background also play a part. If she was white, she would English, and the same class as Middleton she'd not face as much as she does.
That's my view on it. Why else would the OP say she's a chancer while providing no reason for his claim? Someone else provided examples of Middleton being more of one yet the OP is silent on that.

Tommy Robinson might not have anything to do with this particular incident no, but he's part of a large problem of demonising certain groups of people and spreading propoganda aimed to make you angry and cause hate and division.
The attacker today literally said in his own manifesto that he wants a race war between Europeans and Muslims, and he repeated a lot of anti Muslim propoganda that you often see shared on social media.
It's not that much of a stretch to see why people like Robinson are being mentioned.

It's odd, many people have criticised Islam and Muslims but you use specifically a person who is racist as your example in your agreement to criticise Islam and Muslims as he doesn't like brown people. Yet you find it hard to see why people make the link?
I find myself agreeing with Winston over the Melanie Phillips article. It's a poor article to use to back your point up.
Markle has been slated by many people, some who have slated her, are racists, xenophobes, classists, and bigots. To deny there isn't is same to being blind. The campaign of looking down upon her started with how much the media put the spot light on her family members such as her sister and father. To think it started later would be ignoring how they reported how she left out her father for the wedding or didn't invite her sister, etc. Compare that with what Middleton has faced and it pales in comparison.
People will naturally look at why this is and if the criticism is fair or over the top. People who are her friends and who have suffered abuse due to their skin colour will naturally feel its that. I don't 100%agree with them. I also believe her nationality and background also play a part. If she was white, she would English, and the same class as Middleton she'd not face as much as she does.
That's my view on it. Why else would the OP say she's a chancer while providing no reason for his claim? Someone else provided examples of Middleton being more of one yet the OP is silent on that.
