I seem to remember lower gates than this in the late sixties or early seventies when the Warburton family were in charge. I could be wrong but the figure of under 3,000 comes to mind. I remember being on the terraces and the stadium was almost empty.

We need some good leaership and management to bring the fans back. Can we find another Bruce Rioch or a Sam Allerdyce?

still can't see the handball but another thought on this years rule changes is they were made to fit in with VAR even though the majority don't have it.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Why impose a system which is set up for VAR for the lower league teams that don't have th facility. It doesn't make any sense.

Lockett for Graham.

Gates are going to get less without season tickets. People won't keep paying £20 a time, hastle of buying tickets each game to watch the youth side and jason lowe.

A good point Benny. It's just another one of those problems that won't be solved until the takeover happens.

As swie says . Gates were around 5000 at burnden in the 80s.

Sometimes much less Benny if I recall correctly.

Matthews did his best there. I might be unfair but zouma is an headless chicken but got nothing else. Really is getting ridiculous having to put a side like this out.

It is pasty. They aren't talking about Burnden Park but that is what I'm referring to. It was soul destroying. and as we know Burnden Park was not a very celubrious venue in those days.

some of them will need longer than others before they are ready for the 1st team

If it doesn't kill them it will make them stronger but I think we all knew that most of the young lads were not ready for this standard of football yet.

What happening to the youth team fixtures whilst all this is going on, does anyone know?

seemed to have moved the dev squad fixtures

I hope that there are no repercussions with that set up.

3-0

I'm afraid this is going to be the pattern until we get sorted with new owners and hopefully some reasonable first team squad members.

In the meantime, the clubs that we play are having easy pickings, It's not really in the interest of fair play but the alternative of not playing the games is worse.

4-0.

integrity argument has some merit how are the clubs who have not played us feel if they meet us after we have a bag of players signed up and they get beat

posted on 24/8/19

That was my thoughts. It makes a mockery of the whole league table.

Jason lowe is garbage btw. Not a cb as don't see another one in the squad.

That's at least down to jason lowe
