I'm more and more convinced Bassini is Kenny's stooge.

All eyes on Boohoo, and their cash.
Anderson the king of brinkmanship, will he let the club implode?
What will FV do if they are removed from Prefered Bidder status, losing their mysterious £1m?
Lots of other outcomes that could arise in the next 24 hours

I always said that there were ulterior motives behind these delays. It seems that it could possibly be Anderson but undoubtedly we will know in the fullness of time.

Unfortunately, the clock is ticking and we may not be in business unless these games cease now.

I think tomorrow will be an intense day.
Is Gartside's old fax machine still working or will it be telegraph messages?

What's in store for today will P Appleton go for a record release of statements after yesterdays flurry

Perhaps the best quote I could find from yesterday came from ITV this one from Anderson has he admitted its his doing.
"As I understand it (solicitor) Keir Gordon and the Eddie Davies Trust and my lawyers were unable to reach an agreement on Saturday. It now rests with Keir Gordon and the Trust to respond to my lawyers."

Quote was from here is at the end

Bristol City fan here thinking of you guys. It won’t be much comfort I know, but there is a lot of sympathy for you from our fans. There are various threads - the latest is here but there are others

I’m old enough to remember a similar situation with ourselves in the early 1980s - we only just survived by the skin of our teeth.
Fingers crossed something will get sorted.

I looks as though the threat liquidation is focusing the minds of Anderson and Eddie Davies's group.
Here is the latest.

Bassini isn't going away. If he has £39,000,000 which he may have, if I was in charge of the EFL test, I would want to know not just that the money is in his bank account but under what circumstances the money has been deposited into his account. eg, Who is the lender and what interest rate or special arrangements are tied into the loan/loans.

You don't just have 39 million deposited into your account by a good friend that wants a minimal % rate of interest. The more desperate that you are the higher the risk so the higher the interest rate and certainly collateral will be needed to obtain the loan and it will be written into the agreement.

Borrowing 39 million for the purchase and to pay off debts for a first division football club with the distinct possibility of being a second division football club next season, is not a very smart move and in my opinion it is more than likely to end in tears, not only for Bassini but also for the club and the fans.

Just let us hope that the administrator and the EFL send him packing.

Just one hour to go before the deadline expires. Will we be given an extension if the deal isn't over the line by then? That, in reality, will only be possible if a deal is near completion. We have to hope that there is a real will to save the club and that all parties want us to survive. I'm hopeful that that will be the case but with all the shenanigans up to press, I'm not
sure that that is the case.

I'm keeping everything crossed.

Bury left with no buyer as C&N walk away what hope is there of somebody else popping up at this late stage for them.

In reality none. I sincerely hope that we don't find ourselves in the same position.

A "football finances" expert from Liverpool University was on the BBC news at lunchtime. He basically said that the evidence was that group who took over from the Davies family, did it to enrich themselves rather than help-out the football club...

Who'd a thunk it.

Sadly I think this is the end my friend's,disgusting miss management from Eddie,Gartside ,Holdsworth, and that criminal that goes by the name of Ken Anderson

The deadline has passed and no word as yet from the administrator or the EFL. No doubt we will hear soon what the state of play is. I much suspect that an extension will be granted if talks are still ongoing. We will see.

Extension after extension, this cant go on,the debts are doubling by the day.

Discussions are ongoing with all parties and a further statement will be issued later this evening.

nunsnmoses, It's been going on so long now that even if it took a couple of days, it would make little difference in relative terms to the administrator's bill.

Any debts incurred. by the club would have more than likely have been run up if the new owners had been in place. At this stage it isn't a problem, it's far more important that every chance is given to get a deal over the line. Whether it happens or not is not a given but at least they are still talking.

What gets me having been taken for a few quid when debtors have gone belly-up, is that the administrators always get paid (and very handsomely), even when there's 'nowt in the pot.

They charge about £80-100/hr for a clerk!

posted on 27/8/19

Where Bolton and Bury are concerned the sole owners get to keep all they made from the clubs and not contribute a penny towards those nice hourly rates administrators charge. There should be some accountability and some financial contribution for sorting out their mismanagement.

posted on 27/8/19

Agreed pasty Anderson will come out of it smelling of roses, whilst whoever buys will pay the bills that he has run-up.

I will probably wait until the morning before I take another look at the state of play. I hope by then we will have a new owner.
