Nothing official but looking like football ventures will get the club thanks to mike james. https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/9808203/bolton-wanderers-bury-live-updates-efl/

This is getting dangerous now, they've done Bury, the will do us,You cant get feathers from a frog Benny.

Bury expelled.
Bolton have 14 days left unless a deal done, or we are liquidated as promised by Appleton.
Hoping James put cash in the club to last 2 weeks, but I guess our games will be suspended anyway.

James's debt being repaid using the money he is putting into FV himself? This doesn't sound good

Money moved from the takeover pot to pay Anderson off money which would have gone into the playing side or other FV plans which are presumably geared to make enough to keep us going.
Have the EFL given Anderson 14 more days to play poker provided the admins now have the money to carry on trading that long.

Bury fear assets being taken away from the remnants wouldn't be a surprise if Dale turns out a winner there leaving Bury with an even harder task than they have now.

It's as clear as mud but one thing looks certain, Anderson is the bogey man. This man in addition to the EFL has a lot to answer for.

The EFL is not fit for purpose, the test of suitability is a joke and yet they have the authority to expel clubs. It should never have got to this point and wouldn't have if they had done their job when Eddie Davies sold the club to Dean Holdsworth. It should have been obvious that Holdsworth did not have the money to run the club for two years. A simple look at his bank account statement would have shown this. Then when Anderson came onto the scene he should have been investigated more thoroughly. The EFL stated several times that Anderson had the money to run the club. Well, they obviously didn't investigate thoroughly enough.

They make strong statements that matters haven't progressed but they don't say that they are the root cause of these problems. The fact is they don't have a proper and fit test when investigating prospective owners fitness to run a football club.

How many times have the admins allowed this to be fall at the last hurdle serious questions on the behaviour and performance of the admins need asking they should have been back into court by now and had Anderson removed from all negotiations if he is causing the issues.

Why have Bolton been given another 14 days and Bury not?

posted on 28/8/19

Bury used their 14 days up and had a few days on top.
Is it right to shut Bury down when there is a club there and people interested in taking it on the new look EFL has spoken so we know what to expect if we survive that long.

I guess when "crooks" like those who ran Carrillion have "done nothing wrong", there is no chance with some of the wrong-uns who own football clubs?

"Why have Bolton been given another 14 days and Bury not?"

I think it's because Bury's only credible buyer has walked, leaving them with no money, no matches played, no means of sending a team out and no-one realistically engaged in a process to buy or rescue. The people interested in buying BWFC and/or the hotel are more credible and have had more time to be checked out by the EFL. It's not a case of finding a buyer with Bolton, it's about whether they can negotiate a deal that satisfies everyone.

As I understand it, the Bolton situation requires a balance to be found between what the preferred bidder wants/is able to pay and what the various creditors want to receive - there may be some distance between them, but there is still realistic hope they can find a way to meet in the middle. Bury unfortunately are nowhere near that: the only serious bidder saw the books and ran out screaming.

After yesterday the way things are heading and providing FV get the gig in the end there will be a big hole in the original FV business plan submitted to the EFL will they have to resubmit. I hope whatever plans FV have can cover the knock on effects of it all.

Er, ................ I don't think supporting a team works like that?

Or sell both grounds and play at Radcliffe Borough

Scouse, it doesn’t but may have to .

One massive flaw in your plan Golden, We don't own Bury's ground and are never likely to.

Unfortunately, someone or some entity must find a way to get Bury in a non-league division and try to build from there. It must be a terrible prospect but Accrington Stanley came back from the dead. Bury supporters can do it if they have the will and can find a backer.

Nothing all day then all these statements. Can't cope. Shame about bury, was hoping the game which would have been a week on Sunday would have been a celebration.
