You’re not wrong, but one might argue that even Sir Alex’s tactics weren’t rocket science much of the time. He developed good Plan Bs and had a habit of getting it right when he chopped and changed (beating Arsenal with three defenders in midfield ) but he was no tactical genius. What he had was winners throughout the team and players with imagination.

As I’ve said on a couple of threads today, one top-class player in that front line, with a bit of imagination and guile, and we might even have nine points this season.

Bit ironic but I think you'll be a problem for us with those very tactics.
