We were comfortable in context, it’s at Anfield and first half we were comfortable and causing problems m. You’re just looking for negatives to suit your narrative. As I said I’m bookmarking this article as I’m confident that we will finish top 4. We will strengthen again in jan , we have improved. Have a gd night.

The defending is not good and the football is hardly pretty enough to make up for it. And on top of that we somehow bottled CL football on 2 fronts we looked favorites to qualify through.
Either the football needs to improve drastically or we get Champions League football. If he can’t achieve one of those targets (ideally both) then he can’t complain about getting the boot.
I think some perspective is needed here we are three games into the season with half our first choice defence missing, new players bedding in. Emery had a two year contract and his his target was to get the club back into the champions league how he does that is upto him if he decides that can be achieved by out scoring teams with the forward line we have then he has to live and die on his decisions. We gifted the only chance you had first half from Hendo. You didn't play intricate passes to achieve that.
The other which you mean is the fack up from the goalkeeper. Had we Alisson in goal there would be no fack up there.
Your need the balance in midfield and forwards who work hard. Your team doesn't have that.
Auba is a great goalscorer but he lacks the hardwork and linkup play of Firmino.
Tbh, even if we get top 4, it'll be by virtue of United and Chelsea being utter waank.
I haven't seen anything over the last year or so to suggest Emery is the right man to push us forward.
I'll wait till the full backs are back playing regularly before giving a final judgement on him. Signs aren't good though.

You played to our hands. Emery wanted to play 1v1 against our cb's and give the space to our fullbacks.
We pushed our fullbacks to the midfield to make it 6v4 and dominated the first half.

You dominated possession first half without really creating much. We had the better chances and should have punished you. Then after the pen the game opened up and you cruised it.

So, is there a specific counterpoint you have against my critique of our defending or build-up play, beyond your ecstasy that we weren't smashed 8-0 at Anfield (how the mighty have fallen)? We were comfortable in context, it’s at Anfield and first half we were comfortable and causing problems m. You’re just looking for negatives to suit your narrative. I really don’t see how anybody can disagree with this article.
The defending is not good and the football is hardly pretty enough to make up for it. And on top of that we somehow bottled CL football on 2 fronts we looked favorites to qualify through.
Either the football needs to improve drastically or we get Champions League football. If he can’t achieve one of those targets (ideally both) then he can’t complain about getting the boot.

We gifted the only chance you had first half from Hendo. You didn't play intricate passes to achieve that.
The other which you mean is the fack up from the goalkeeper. Had we Alisson in goal there would be no fack up there.
Your need the balance in midfield and forwards who work hard. Your team doesn't have that.
Auba is a great goalscorer but he lacks the hardwork and linkup play of Firmino.

Tbh, even if we get top 4, it'll be by virtue of United and Chelsea being utter waank.
I haven't seen anything over the last year or so to suggest Emery is the right man to push us forward.
I'll wait till the full backs are back playing regularly before giving a final judgement on him. Signs aren't good though.
