Yes, Poch moans a lot but he's done a lot with next to nothing over 5 years while the stadium has been built
=======
Apparently Liverpool have a lower net spend than Spurs over the last 5 years, or at least around the same.

Liverpool have number 6 to show for it though.

Would like to see how Klopp does under Levy when he instead gets half the spend and players signed late rather than early, as well as having a change of stadium midway through.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yes please. Speaking of Jurgen Klopp by the way, just read an interesting article on him if anyone's interested:

Better than Poch I'm sure.

Like the season when Klopp had no European distraction and still finished below Spurs by scraping into 4th place.

You mean in Klopp's first full season?

Enic are the problem, they treat us as a business first and a football club second, one trophy in 19 years tells us all we need to know about where their priorities lie.

They have not improved our squad at a time when we should be really trying to push on.

Our defence was poor last season and they`ve done nothing to improve it, and leaving out our best defender in mysterious circumstances just makes the problem worse.

We still have no proper competition for Kane and have key players looking to leave or running down their contracts.

The whole thing is a bit of a mess at the moment, but that does not excuse Poch failing to select his best players to try and make a point. We should pick our best players until they leave or fail to perform, we are still paying their wages after all. This is Poch`s biggest failing imo, and he is just cutting his nose to spite his face.

He probably has had enough and who could blame him really ?

He was there since October the season before. Let's not make out he had only just arrived by then.

Look where both teams are now. This proves what a long way Liverpool have come under Klopp. We used to be worse than Spurs FFS.

Not to suvk up to anyone but Klopp has done a top job at Liverpool, im not one usually to agree with a pool fan but as much as it pains me to say it Klopp is a better manager.

Poch has been complaining about not spending and now he is one of the highest spenders this season, he has 4 points out of 9. When do the excuses stop at Spurs?

Last season it was, we are playing away games, since moving to the new stadium you've had a load of awful results and without looking it up, I'd be surprised if it wasn't a worse record than at Wembley.

Then it was not spending, now you're one of the highest spenders this season and it's players may leave.

At some point the excuses have to stop and you admit that you just aren't good enough for a title challenge. Some people on here can't do that. Some flip-flop, depending on results. We had Sandy singing from the rooftops that Spurs had the best squad in the league last season and now, having added to the squad, they're not good enough. Which is it?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Let's just wait and see until after the European transfer window ends if we have our squad intact. Because there's no point talking about spending a lot of money (we could and should have spent more) to bring new players in only for us to lose key players as well several weeks into the season. If Eriksen goes then the transfer window is even less successful than it should have been.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yes, agree with you, my comments are more aimed at the likes of Sandy who said you had the best squad in the league etc when it was clear you needed signings to compete.

I think the whole contract situations with Alderweireld, then Eriksen and now Vertoghan, haven't helped. It doesnt seem like the team are happy and fighting for each other but when you look at Liverpool for example it's the opposite.

Blaming it on the stadium, Scouse media and referees like Sandy and that clown Billy, is ridiculous. It's clear that Spurs need to pay the top experienced players more, otherwise they want to leave.

Jose is guaranteed to win a trophy though. No matter how crap his football has become he has never failed to win something at every club he's managed.

Spurs fans should be hoping they can get Jose, the Carabao cup waits for no team.

Who is this facking dikhead? Pool fans change their names so much it’s hard to keep up. Incidentally I’m in Liverpool at the moment, lovely vibrant city, having a beer at Albert Dock in the evening sun. Some of the ‘pool fans on here should try visiting the city of the club they claim to support at least once in their lifetime.

I had a great day in Liverpool a week or so back Ace, unfortunately most of the Liverpool supporters on the board have never even visited the City, let alone been to Anfield.

Both managers have taken their clubs up a level, but one has been backed better than the other, and that's why they've been more successful.

Klipperty`s got an easier job though, he plays with 12 men every week, unlike Poch who plays with 10 men a lot of the time.... see Mike facking Dean yesterday

Only after the current window, and that’s assuming we don’t sell Eriksen and break even. Sadly we’ve not had the touch of pulling a clubs pants down for £140m on one player!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Not a good excuse then is it?
