Some very silly fans on here seem to think that VAR has some God-like AI technology that "makes decisions".
Nothing could be further from the truth.
VAR is a video of the match, pure and simple.
Just like you can see on your TV.
It is an Assistant to the referee.
There is someone who is looking at it.
He is an assistant to the match referee.
The match referee has final say, and all decisions are his.
Thats all I am going to say on this matter.
And the silly little buggggers who continue to believe otherwise will just have to go on with their misconceptions.

You're just wrong. Like objectively so, and despite it being explained to you why you are wrong you've just decided to double down. Fair enough if that's what you want to do - a bit weird but whatever, just means there's no point In me continuing to explain why you're wrong since you're less interested in being correct and more interested in feeling clever

You have explained nothing.
You call some hearsay from Neville and and Carragher as FA rule?
You cannot be serious.
Go find something official to back your silly belief.

I ask again, do you honestly believe that professional pundits went on television and lied about what they were told by premier league referees?

You misunderstood what they said.
Go find an official FA rule to back up your understanding of what you think was said!

No I didn't you condescending twaaat

I can't find a rule because it's not a rule - they've not banned refs from looking at the video replay. They've made a conscious decision to not do so though because they're worried about slowing the game down.

Well now .... just think about that.
And then look back at what I've been saying.

"The main concern is that the referee on the pitch is not offered another chance to see subjective incidents," Clattenburg said.

"I raised this a while back. The reason they do not want this is because they fear it will slow the game down."

I've been saying that despite them being allowed to do so, they are going to do everything to avoid telling the referee to look at the VAR replay and instead either stick with the on field decision or overrule the referee

Who cares about VAR, Spurs should not have to rely on that to get a draw out of Newcastle at home. The whole team and manager are shot, and big changes are needed. this nonsense on the pitch has been going on for months.

I don't think anybody disagrees with you Sandy.

We are just trying to establish why VAR didn't help with a very obvious pen decision?

I cannot disagree, but I only saw it once in real time, so cannot really comment on it one way or the other. My point is we cannot be hanging our hat on one VAR decision. Playing against teams like Newcastle at home should be a routine home win, and if it isn`t, you know we have big, big problems.

Yes, too many on here are getting hung up on our defence (which hasn't been great) and forgetting that we should be scoring at least 3 at home to a Steve Bruce team. Norwich managed it!
