Yes, Golden. He never had any love for our club. He tried to shaft us every step of the way. Thank God he's gone.

Here is the latest from our new owners.

It looks as if they are determined to not overspend, not to be looking to take out of the club but to work hard, put into the cub and to see that the club has a long and hopefully good future. We have all seen what the likes of Anderson can do to a club so this has to be a refreshing change.

I like the Pink Floyd reunion concert suggestions in the comments section. If they can get David Gilmour and Roger Waters talking to each other, then I'll believe they are capable of surviving in League 1!

What a great idea. We will have to send Shaz a message and ask her to get it organised. I saw them live when I was much younger at an arts ball what a great night that was. I had the LP Dark side of the moon. What an opening that song had not to say anything about the sounds they produced.!

I sincerely hope that we can survive but to be realistic I think it will be one mighty struggle. Michael James seems to be resigned to us getting another few points docked from his statement which is contained in the link above. If the board who looks at it are lenient maybe we will have a chance. However, if that happens I suppose there will be a few clubs willing to complain to the EFL.

I have seen a couple of Floyd tribute acts and they are so good, everything a note-perfect replica, that I worry the real thing might be a let down now!

I hope that you enjoy. It takes me back some.

Golden, yes we do. but what cash is there to bring a good striker in? We have to have someone who will find the back of the net on a regular basis. It's not easy to find someone who can do that. Let's hope that FV have a plan for signing a striker.

As a massive Floyd fan I would be all over a reunion gig. But it won't happen now, not since Richard Wright died. However if you want a good tribute act try and get to see the Australian Pink Floyd, the are excellent.

You'll have to nip over to the Costa Blanca in Spain. The weather is still great.

A bit disappointing that there is only one new to go onto the team sheet but being realistic, FV haven't had the luxury of time. One is better than none.

Jimmy let slip we are allowed 12 more signings. Adding the 11 pros we already have that's the same 23 limit we had last time in embargo.

Rumours are that Jem Karacan (he of last league 1 campaign fame) is training with a view to signing.

To anyone making the Gillingham trip - have a good day out, we still have summer here in the sarfeast. See if you can find some time to look around Rochester - historic riverside town and nice pre-match food and pint options there. Gillingham is a proper traditional football ground, right in among the houses with terraced streets ending at the stadium wall - reminds me a little bit of the Lever End at Burnden Park.

Going down, staying in Gillingham but going on train to Margate after the match, last train back.

It looks as if you guys who are making the trip to Gillingham have your itinerary all done and dusted. Have a great day.

So Monday is as big a day as we have had on the last day of any transfer windows that I can remember. I just hope that the players that we are able to sign are of the right caliber to get us out of the hole that we are finally escaping from.

I know we need quantity but numbers are not much use if we don't have the quality. It's going to be very hard to fill our squad with new talent that will fit in straight away, which is what we desperately need.
