Is tom hardy really that level yet?

Dont get me wrong he's great
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I think so. Only my opinion though.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
he'd be top of mine already, i love a lot of them like De Niro but hes proper cashed out and done some awful films recently
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Not sure on Tom Hardy he seems to play the same role in a lot of films and is a bit one dimensional. He does play that role well though to be fair.

De Niro for me though.

Vito Corleone, Travis Bickle, Jake Lamotta, Jimmy Conway, Sam Rothstein, even as Jack Byrnes in Meet the Parents. Throw in others like Mean Streets, The Untouchables, Once Upon a Time in America, Jackie Brown. He’s the greatest for me, such an incredible career.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He’s done some utter rubbish recently though, he’s tarnishing his rep.

bale might come across as a bit of a tw@t but dont think ive seen a film ive not respected his performance in, he goes the extra mile with his acting i feel. get the feeling i wouldnt like him but his acting quality undeniable. Not a bad footballer either ask Fergy, most recent film i saw of his was the fighter with wahlberg so nothing too recent.

Yep I’d also definitely shout out Christian Bale, brilliant as Patrick Bateman in American Psycho, also in The Machinist. Really liked him in his Batman trilogy, American Hustle, and The Big Short is supposed to be good but I haven’t seen it yet. Terminator Salvation was sheite though.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
ah yeah that was sheite out of the furnace was alright nothing special.

I was more referring to the idea of if you go on to do a load of garbage movies as you get older like de Niro

But even with spacey I find that I'm pretty good at separating the art from the artist

Meh, he’s an old fella now, I give him a pass at this point - he’s done more than enough in his career to cement his legacy.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
True he has. The good far outweighs the bad. Hopefully The Irishman is good which is out soon I think.
