I backed Moyes because I was naive and thought it was the right thing to do as it was the first manager after SAF left. I learnt my lesson but people seemingly haven’t in regards to Ole who’s offering no reason for all this faith
--------
I don't think that there is a huge amount of faith in him in terms of his managing ability. People are just prepared to give him a fair crack of the whip. You creating a narrative that doesn't exist. I do think that there is more faith in his ability to restructure the squad though and rightly so on this summer's dealings.

Jumped too quickly on the Ole at the wheel bandwagon. Reaping the rewards for it now. Not exactly a proven manager is he? He was shocking at Cardiff and I hardly think managing Molde and doing alright is good enough for a team who are watching their two biggest rivals run away at the top again.
------
He did more than alright at Molde. They hadn't won the title in their 100 year history.

Nobb is not going to quit this until we sack Ole and appoint his next crusade.
Sadly his choice of manager hasn't done that much better with a better squad that he has built himself.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
And his choice will need at least 4 windows to shape a squad... Endless patience... And every defeat not to be over analysed
Otherwise we'll all be glory hunters that don't understand football etc etc etc

Same old same old. He's become a parody of himself.
Same old same old. He's become a parody of himself.
...
Said it before and I will say it again. He isn't a United fan. Never has been.
First off. There isn't a lesson to be learned from Moyes. They are different people.
The first Harry Potter book was rejected by a publishe, the next eleven learned their lesson and rejected it. The next took a chance on a writer with no history of success and publishes it.
Blindly following. A bit insulting really, the implication being that the writer and others who agree are the ones who can see clearly, and the rest of us can't. Well it's true I can't see the future, but neither can anyone else on here.
Stats. Depressing, and I think Leicester will beat us. They probably wouldn't with Jose because he would go all Tony Puliis and get a point. Then we would all hate him.
It's all opinion, mine is last season is gone. Ole had no preseason, no player of his choice, no knowledge of who played well with whom, no knowledge of which player suite which system.
Now this season.
Three players of his choice, all doing well.
Shaping the squad to what he wants, but clearly needs at least three more, midfielder, right winger, striker, which I expect he knows and addresses next summer.
There are problems in the squad apart from those positions, Pogba being number one. He is not consistent enough to be our main creative player, there are better out there.
De Gea's loss of form. Lingards ability. These were all issues under Jose too, I think it impossible to fix in one window.
I don't think Ole has the best system, or picks the best team, at least not yet. It's something he needs to look at and do better.
I don't know how things will go, but I am happy to wait and see. We are only four games in, and but for two penalty misses would be third. Do I think everything is rose, of course not, but they maybe in the future.
There really is no agenda here
If it was my first day posting on here I’d still have very valid concerns about Ole and his ability to turn this around. Everyone can see it but a select few on here.
Your real problem is with me and whatever you think of me doesn’t take away from how badly Ole is doing.
You’re all playing games of ‘whataboutery’. Whatever my opinions of managers in the past have been shouldn’t affect your judgment of what I see with Ole. And there are massive concerns. You can choose to ignore those but insulting me for having real concerns says more about Ole is just you trying to get one over on me. Well done.
And VC, you always try to use the whole ‘I ask us to sign players that opposition fans would want which means I’m not a United fan’ rubbish
Well, the vast majority of non United fans want us to keep Ole so please think about it next time you use the insult.
nd VC, you always try to use the whole ‘I ask us to sign players that opposition fans would want which means I’m not a United fan’ rubbish

Here's a slightly different way of looking at things
Nobody... Absolutely nobody... expected a title challenge
Being honest we are and were hoping for scraping top 4, while shifting towards a younger more energetic squad
Even with being shiiite for much of last season we weren't a million miles away from top 4... So like everyone else outside the top 2, we're looking at improving results in games we dropped points in last year
We've done that in 2 games, equalled another and got a point less from the Palace game
So we're slightly better off than in the corresponding games last year... Very slightly but still
Mourinho left us in a shiiite state... Unbalanced squad, wasted hundreds of millions... We weren't going to suddenly be competing
The approach we need is to aim to edge and improve on another handful of our bad results last year... And we'll be in the mix for 4th place
Do that, freshen the squad, introduce the kids.... It's a start
We're 2 missed penalties off having a fairly decent start to the season... It's obv not great, but it's not quite panic stations yet imo
I'm oddly optimistic... Might be my pain meds
