i have praised the team, i'm delighted with yesterday.

doesn't mean my opinion has changed on other matters.

wearing celtic jammies and just accepting everything isn't a requirement of being a celtic fan.

When did you start wearing your Celtic Jammie’s 😂

Excellent summary Subs 👏👏👏

Subs ... Agree with a lot of that, but I don't see why it needs "massive investment" to give ourselves a far better chance of QUALIFYING for the CL. Having a settled, half decent defence in time for the CL qualies isn't exactly reaching for the stars, is it? No-one expects us to "compete" should we actually make the Groups, but our lack of basic preparation continually undermines our chances of getting there ... through a qualifying system that is actually "rigged" in our favour, if anything, by keeping us away from the big league teams we'd have NO chance against.

Lennon and the team (particularly Boli!) proved a lot of doubters wrong with that yesterday. Well done all round.

Nature of the beast is we tend to hyperbole our opinions quite a bit - just as manger and players should take great credit for yesterday, equally they should take criticism for the Cluj result.

Whilst I disagree that playing Boli or Hayes at LB, for example would have won us that game. There were faults all round that cost us and no-one is exempt.

I did think folks calling Lennon's appointment a disgrace on the back of that was totally OTT and frankly more than a wee bit hysterical. But each to their own - it's only a fitba forum after all.

I myself never thought Boli had that in him so early yesterday. I knew he had the physical attributes and a fair bit of skill so was encouraged that his positioning and decision making could be trained out, but I never thought it could be achieved to that extent so soon. Well done all round.

I'd have gladly taken a draw yesterday after our last two visits to Ibrox. whilst not decisive by any means, that result is hugely significant and sets us up positively for after the return after the internationals. We need to ensure we capitalise fully, kick on, and beat Hamilton for starters.

As to the argument about the club's stature/ambition - IMO we are an EL team with hopes of CL qualifying. That's our level, and whilst we might get lucky with our talent form time to time, I can't see any circumstances I the current rigged CL context where we could justify the massive expenditure required to make significant CL progress on a regular basis.

We should have got past Cluj - Salvia would have ben a whole different story, and then we're in a horrible CL group anyway. Rigged as per

Bottom line is, its not lack of ambition that stifles us but lack of being able to commit sufficient cold hard cash, and it would be absolute folly to go chasing the chimera of CL progression beyond our relatively paltry means.

I'm not complaining about that - I accept matters, just as no doubt Hibs or St Mirren fans have to accept they are unlikely to win an SPL title any time soon.

Seems to me, you can either moan about that and have a mild fit of hysteria every time we have as set
-back, and get nowhere , or accept it, and get nowhere - the destination won't change, but you might enjoy the journey a wee bit better one way or another - just depends on your personality which. I've made my choice.

Terry Munro is my focus for these next tow seasons. A SMART objective (do they still do that these days . btw?),and yesterday was a welcome step along the road toward that outcome.

BTW I thought Gerrard's post match was very decent and honest. I do expect them to raise their game at CP, as they weren't up to the mark yesterday, and have shown they can be, but hopefully we can raise ours to more than match it too.

Agree with all of this. Everyone can be disappointed but such extreme reactions serve no benefit, and unless you’re a pal of the board has zero effect? Some people need to vent to feel better I guess, so have at it, but maybe don’t expect everyone else to be as upset as you are.

In saying all that, I was probably twice as hysterical when we would go to CP to watch Strachan put Gary Caldwell at right back

Jordan Jones out for 9 months apparently.

Lovely.

Celtic expecting 3 in tonight, looks like Taylor, Frimpong and a boy from Man United. Last 2 look like young players who probably will slot in to the development side like Connell?

That’s a good move for Henderson, he’ll do very well for them.

Has anyone ever watched Kilmarnock and been impressed with Taylor ?

Didn't think so ...

Said it on the other thread..... would have preferred Melling but at this late stage just grateful Taylor is almost in the door.

As Subs said, him and Boli can fight it out to be first choice. Suspect with the number of games they'll both get a decent few starts.

Honestly?

What's good about him ? I've seen him have a nightmare at Tynecastle and never once has he stood out against Celtic that I can recall
