What Does This Even Mean

It means that he doesn't think 9 means anything unless we get 10

Pretty much spot on. 9 has been done twice, but we need it to get 10

Straightforward stuff really

9 would be equalling a great achievement, if it wouldn't mean anything then surely Rangers winning 9 in a row meant nothing?

Anyone really care what Andy Gray thinks? He still bitter he got the heave-ho for being an auld misogynistic dinosaur

Lex 100% correct - it just made me laugh

Gray is just getting it into the heads of any delusional bears out there that any thoughts they might have had of winning the title should be emptied from their heads now and save the inevitable pain later.

Suppose he’s right but whether they’ll listen or not is another story.

Not a chance in hell they’ll get rid of him.

When he goes I genuinely believe it will be his decision and his alone.

The sheer embarrassment for the club were they to ditch him after all the money they’ve thrown at him to replace him with what?

In so saying if Rangers are beaten in the League cup and more than maybe you 6-9 points behind us in the league come New Year I think he’ll be off in the summer

Massive “ifs” in there but just can’t see Rangers binning him.

Some Rangers fans really beginning to doubt him Ging - if that was Murty, Pedro or BreadHeed yesterday there'd be murder down Govan today.

The important thing for Rangers is that Gerrard keeps showing he's learning and improving. He's a young man in terms of a manager and he'll make mistakes. If they get pumping after pumping in OF games and don't win anything then he'll have to go.

Zach - wouldn't expect him to be punted now but if Celtic win the league say with 5 games to go - do rangers stick or twist?

what a difference a week makes.

Lennon has started the league really well but that doesnt absolve the club of their failings in the transfer marker.

i dont ivan.

last year we required a rb and a cb, and we bawsed it, heading into a 9 in a row season we required 2 rb's, 2 lb's and a cb.

to get to this stage and still be playing a cm @ cb and a cb at rb isn't acceptable, and we are out of the champions league due to a lack of options at left back.

our strategy going into a transfer window isn't good enough, i would say thats not lennons fault but when he blames the players while absolving himself and lawwell of any blame thats unacceptable in my eyes.

I’ve not heard that (for 10 minutes) so why do you not go to CP and tell them to their faces. That’ll make them think 😂

This is Subs post from another thread. His guy speaks sense 👍

Lennon and the team (particularly Boli! ) proved a lot of doubters wrong with that yesterday. Well done all round.

Nature of the beast is we tend to hyperbole our opinions quite a bit - just as manger and players should take great credit for yesterday, equally they should take criticism for the Cluj result.

Whilst I disagree that playing Boli or Hayes at LB, for example would have won us that game. There were faults all round that cost us and no-one is exempt.

I did think folks calling Lennon's appointment a disgrace on the back of that was totally OTT and frankly more than a wee bit hysterical. But each to their own - it's only a fitba forum after all.

I myself never thought Boli had that in him so early yesterday. I knew he had the physical attributes and a fair bit of skill so was encouraged that his positioning and decision making could be trained out, but I never thought it could be achieved to that extent so soon. Well done all round.

I'd have gladly taken a draw yesterday after our last two visits to Ibrox. whilst not decisive by any means, that result is hugely significant and sets us up positively for after the return after the internationals. We need to ensure we capitalise fully, kick on, and beat Hamilton for starters.

As to the argument about the club's stature/ambition - IMO we are an EL team with hopes of CL qualifying. That's our level, and whilst we might get lucky with our talent form time to time, I can't see any circumstances I the current rigged CL context where we could justify the massive expenditure required to make significant CL progress on a regular basis.

We should have got past Cluj - Salvia would have ben a whole different story, and then we're in a horrible CL group anyway. Rigged as per

Bottom line is, its not lack of ambition that stifles us but lack of being able to commit sufficient cold hard cash, and it would be absolute folly to go chasing the chimera of CL progression beyond our relatively paltry means.

I'm not complaining about that - I accept matters, just as no doubt Hibs or St Mirren fans have to accept they are unlikely to win an SPL title any time soon.

Seems to me, you can either moan about that and have a mild fit of hysteria every time we have as set
-back, and get nowhere , or accept it, and get nowhere - the destination won't change, but you might enjoy the journey a wee bit better one way or another - just depends on your personality which. I've made my choice.

Terry Munro is my focus for these next tow seasons. A SMART objective (do they still do that these days . btw?),and yesterday was a welcome step along the road toward that outcome.

BTW I thought Gerrard's post match was very decent and honest. I do expect them to raise their game at CP, as they weren't up to the mark yesterday, and have shown they can be, but hopefully we can raise ours to more than match it too.

The failure to fill posts could be our downfall this season.
Is it time to consider the need for a Director of Football?
If we continue to develop young talent in projects to generate income to the club, we should do this with a plan.
A DoF could have the strategy to avoid gaps in the playing squad.
We're now seeing Boli could come good, as I expected he would, but Tiernney is still a huge loss and imagine if an offer comes in for Edouard.
A DoF could help us mitigate this situation and plan to avoid in future.

Celtic are better than Rangers by a distance and Rangers are considerably better than the other 10 teams that make up the SPL. The result is what you would have expected prior to kick off.

What is it people are upset about exactly?
