It's the last throw of the dice.
News on the vine is it's £1.5m up front and the rest paid over 5 years to a total of £6.5m guaranteed with Liverpool having a 20% sell on clause.
As ever that's open to anyone's take on it.

WHERE ARE THEY GETTING THE MONEY FROM 😂🤣😁🤣🤣😁🤣
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Wherever it is coming from you shouldn't worry regardless of the consequences.
It never ceases to amaze me the pash that these so called journalists get paid to spout.
A lot of stuff is picked up on line and from social media etc and rehashed as their own.
The phone in was still enjoyable though
He is a decent player but i would rather Mikey Johnstone
"He is a decent player but i would rather Mikey Johnstone"
Well. I never saw that coming.
Well he has much better stats from much less games. Kent couldnt do it for Barnsley fs.
Wan goal v us and a punch on brown and he is the new messiah.
Nothing like a squirrel after a poor result <whistles>
Turned a mediocre transfer window into a decent one with one good signing.
Welcome back Ryan.

Good job we aren't Barnsley then
His stats weren't amazing but his overall contribution was good.
I wasn't ever getting my nick nacks in a twist about getting him back but he is definitely better than our other options.
If he produces the levels he did after he had settled into the team last season then he will be a very good player for us.
If - as Rangers clearly hope - he kicks again on then he will be a terrific player for us and a real asset.

I don't give a f@ck about stats, especially for a young guy whose past few seasons he's been shipped all over the country.
Let's see how he does after getting his near future settled.
Doesn't the fact that you weren't that overly fussed about getting Kent in bearing in mind you think he's far better than any other options concern you at all?
It's kind of like "he's absolutely meh, but better than the donkeys we already have" isn't it?
Surprising
He certainly adds to our attacking options and is better than what we have already but he's not the whole team, squad or management.
If you put Messi into the St Mirren team they still won’t win the league.

I don't think hes 'meh' at all. I think he is probably the most talented footballer we have.
I just felt that the hype around him was OTT.
Last season though he was our only real creative outlet. Ojo and Aribo have already shown that they can cause problems and create/score goals (yes they were poor on sunday) and that burden is shared.
I think Kent can be more productive in the team this year.
I did openly do a U turn on Kent a few weeks ago. After seeing us play a few times I thought Kent would really fit into and complement the team.
I think we will get more out of him this year. He undoubtedly has fantastic ability.
He was voted young player of the year by the people that played against him for a reason.
I thought the £7m quoted was OTT if it was true as a one off fee, but turns out that's not the case so it looks like decent business from Rangers.
Get a young guy who played well previously while on loan, where he's playing for a guy who trusts him and wants him as a big part of the team, in a place he loves and where his burd is from.
I think the fact he'd been shipped out all over the place didn't help his progress and he didn't enjoy being unsettled so this move could pay dividends for both player and club.

I wasn't as fussed as everyone else. I didn't buy into all the hype.
But as I said - in the last month or so I have been much keener to get him back in because of the mix of players we have now.
He is hugely talented player. But he does need to improve his end product.
I think with team this season the majority of the creative focus wont just be on kent. Last season when teams were sitting in it was very much give the ball to kent and expect him to beat 5 guys.
This season there are more attacking options in the team and that will help him.
In terms of talent though I think he is terrific. But he does need to improve and I think he feels settled here so there is every chance he can.
