It's quite clear only one of them should be starting.
If Laca can up his scoring rate from last 2 seasons, I wouldn't mind selling Auba. Laca is clearly a better all round player, but i feel he hasn't been scoring enough. And there's also big question marks about his away form.
We don't have any options for LW/LM so asking one of them to provide some width is as good as asking anyone else in the squad plus when the wider player does get through centrally he'll likely score
If we sign a top wide player (and Pepe comes good) then dropping one of them definitely makes sense
For now it's as good of an option as any

Auba wide doesn't work. He is wasted there completely. However he is deadly in the middle.
Laca is the better all round striker but not as prolific
Personally I would push for Zaha in Jan and then for me one of Laca and Auba will have to go next summer
Zaha on the left would be lethal
I'd wait until a new manager with more attackind purpose comes IN before getting rid of either of them.
We started the NLD with of midfield of Xhaka - Guendo and Torreira.
As talented as Guendo might be, it was little bit unfair to expect him to provide the attacking threat from midfield. Thus, it was clear from the start that our front three would struggle.
On that happy note, back to my holiday

I don't really understand Emery tactics in games. He starts 3 defensive players in MF but then wants them to bomb forward, leaving the defence massively exposed

no. i think Auba is better in the middle so if that means Laca has to be benched so be it. also, he hasn't signed a new contract yet so if he doesn't plan to we should look to make money out of him.

No, but sometimes you need to make decisions.
If the contract negogiation depending on money which probably will be the case then you have to make decisions who do you want to stay and who to go. Both to go is no options ya FUD
Auba is our best striker.
The problem with Lacazette is that he's not quite quick enough, or tall enough to nail down a position.
He's got ability but that ain't enough. And Auba's problem is that he's quick and tall but he doesn't have the technique. So both are somewhat limited as good as they are.
