I guess we`ll see in the next 2 windows if they have learned form their mistakes. After the feckup last summer, to repeat that is negligence.
Agree we look a lot stronger now than a few weeks ago and a considerable chunk off the wage bill.
Didn`t Hazard and Kouassi also go out on loan? What about Calvin Miller? He was meant to, but don`t know if anything happened?
Anyway, in a good position to kick on after this break.
I think supporters get over-anxious and work themselves up into a frenzy, slavering and frothing as they mis-call the Board. I would say without a doubt that this is the most professional Board in Scottish football. They don't get it right all the time, nobody does, but their track record points to the fact that they generally get it right.
I'm happy where we are and am looking forward to the rest.of the season.

Tully, I am only getting at the fact they waited until it was too late again. 2 summers in a row.
Obviously there is never a guarantee that it will bring qualification for the CL groups, but we make it even harder for ourselves. If they would do this work before then, most people would have been more than happy by now.
Correct Pallaver, the criticism of the board is the length of time we take to get it right.
That said, I believe they have now for the window closing and we can still go on to have a memorable season.
Hmm-the battle of the ‘Celtic transfer window summary’ threads.
I shall follow them both closely before deciding which one to offer my opinion on.
I see it’s expected Jordan Jones will at least be out until after Xmas, possibly the season.
That does leave Rangers extremely short in the wide areas as Hastie and Dodoo have also left.
Kent and Ojo, don’t think they have any other wingers do they?
The fact is Celtic will never get their business done early as we dont want to end up like rangers ( R.I.P. ).
Our board will not gamble on players before European football is guaranteed.
Its a shame because the squad we have now probably would have qualified.

Yeah we definitely paid him off
That leaves us with this:
GK - Forster, Gordon, Bain.
RB - El Hammed, Bauer,
CB - Jozo, Julien, Ajer, Biton, O’Connor
LB - Boli, Taylor, Connell
CM - Brown, McGregor, Biton
AM - Christie, Rogic, Ntcham
RW - Forrest, Shved, Morgan, Arzani
LW - Johnston, Elyounoussi, Hayes
I have taken out Frimpong as I think he'll be a future player and not so much now unless desperate
I have taken out Kouassi - no reason needed
I have also taken out Sinclair - I don't htink he'll play much if a all and will likely leave in January.
I have added in Arzani
Looking at the squad though and it is in great shape. Competition for every position right from keeper through to attack.
A good place to be in following a transfer window
Wonder if tam will be back at any point soon. Any word on that? Definitely enough in the squad to deal with challenge domestically, nice to see some forward planning with the youth players brought in
I see it’s expected Jordan Jones will at least be out until after Xmas, possibly the season.
You wish!
4-6 weeks and thats the truth.
Forgot about Arzani, should just give him back to City.
Rogic is away with Australia I’m sure, ridiculous.
Not fussed about signing Taylor although I appreciate he's well thought of
He's just never once caught the eye , but we need a left back and he's Scottish ... however would have preferred a more solid choice similar to Tierney who's a huge loss
Still not happy we never brought in Meling
Elyounoussi should have an impact , looking forward to see him ...a real technical player
We also have a big keeper now who will hopefully win us points/ games when required
Rangers steal the signing of the transfer window in signing Kent ...£7M is some outlay for rangers .
Not sure he's worth that though , remember he won't be playing against lustig anymore in the old firm games
But a good player and one who significantly strengthens them
The international games can fck off

Good rest for some of the players. The games themselves, meh
Happy with the international break tbh, gives a few of our players a rest.
With Kent, be interesting to see how he does against a quality right back. He’s not going to beat El Hammed for pace that’s for sure.

Yeah that's all they seem welcomed for
No doubt Edouard and McGregor will come back with torn hammy's
Now that the window is closed we can examine it.
to end the window with the 2 left backs and 2 rb's we required is great (you will say 3 but more on that later). Speaking to a stoke fan yesterday through work and he said bauer was one of their best when he signed, the new manager just didnt fancy him.
LW competition for johnston which we required - check and one i am really excited about. my brother was in Norway last year and went to the norway sweden game, says he was outstanding.
Julien looks like a good signing - happy with that
Shved - i dont think lennon fancies him so far.
Connell, Frimpong, O'Conner - all there to develop, doubt we will see much of them early on.
i hate the phrase "like a new signing" but i really feel that way about ntcham just now, we are seeing what he is really capable of, and thats down to Lennon.
Dragging our heels cost us big time imo, and its something we never seem to learn from. We need our business conducted far quicker.
as for Kent signing for rangers - panic buy if ever there was one.

Aye kents reputation is basically on being able to dribble passed Lustig and Ralston and slapping brown in face. Not really worried about that one.
There’s no doubt Kent is over-hyped but he is a good player who causes teams problems with his movement.
Can’t believe they let Hastie go on loan though as a jones looks likely to be out for some time.

To the first point, agree 100%. The "what could have been" will hang over it, even though we seem to have gotten all positions sorted well now. No choice but to get on with it and hope, again, that they learn from it.
To the 2nd, I think he will be good for Rangers, if he gets consistency, but is he really worth Rangers paying up to 7m for him? Still young, so who knows, but seems like a massive financial gamble.
