Celtic were the better team but if Goldson doesn't make that error the game finishes 0-0.

I thought we had a chance - of course I did.
Well done celtic.
Rangers set up terribly and played poorly. Gifted celtic an opening in a tight game, celtic capitalised well and Gers didn't have enough about them to recover.
It happens.
As many folk on both sides were at pains to point out we are only 4 games into the season so I wont be getting too downhearted.
We still have the same slim chance of winning the league I always thought we had.

Pash and Hamish have been at this type of stuff fir a while:
Rangers are looking good and if this and maybe that and possibly the other, we will beat Celtic who has severely weakened and Lennon must stay etc etc.
Easy to confused these fools who fool no one. 😀

And, as can be seen on this thread, they are a pair of blind buffoons 😂

Not the first time either, just last week you were doing the very same thing. Creep.
kidding aside i dont blame bears for a bit of optimism, they started the season well and we were looking proper iffy in defence, the cluj game seems uncharacteristic now.

Hamish, away from the what you posted nonsense can I ask a question and get an honest reply?
Are you a little concerned that whilst posting vast losses as a business/club the board sanctioned a £7M signing?
Call me naïve and I do realise it wont be all upfront but its seems a lot especially with the £3M signing of the Swedish lad when the accounts are in the red.
I simply don't know how Rangers are paying for this or affording it, not a wum but I would hope its not mismanagement on a gamble to stop 9/10 inar.
Just asking a bears opinion as lets be honest did anyone bears included see £10+ spent this window from Ibrox given the balance sheet, Close Bros loan and MA settlement in the post.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
10m hasn't been spent this window though.
3m Helander
700k Edmundson
300k Hastie
200k Aribo.
2m up front for Kent.
So just over 6m after making the Europa groups for the second year in a row. Don't think it's anything to worry about but then i'm no Kerrydale accountant
It looks like Rangers have only paid £2 million up front with the rest being paid over the next 18 months so i don't think it's one that will bring on Admin 2
Sure does.
I was always confident we would win (always confident about most things as you know)
Lennon would have them worked up about it and the build up etc helped the team talk - The sky graphics guy got it also The radio interview after it is superb.
I felt we had too much to offer middle to front. As i posted squads recently.
Happy to be right this time
Aye Lennon's full post match interview was brilliant.

I don't blame the Tims for getting carried away either, why not but a 2-0 win gifted by a Goldson mistake in a game we were set up terribly for and where the players were well off it isn't that concerning for us. Annoying yes and highlights Gerrard's lack of experience but he learns quick imo.
We deserved to get beat but on the day but Celtic were average too imo. Plenty more twists and turns to come.
I mean half of you wanted rid of Lennon after Cluj and Dunfermline. Football changes very quickly.

i dont agree with "gifted" there was a lot of work still to be done there for the goal.
i'm not writing rangers off yet, domestically we look good though, which is the main thing for me.
Given Rangers fans celebrating the 2 wins at Ibrox last season as "Best days of their lives, real marker down now" Trophies.
Our celebrations have been mild at best.
Not even a hint of a pitch invasion either.

We got the ball on the halfway line, it was hardly passed to us on the penalty spot

The what I posted nonsense? You mean the inaccuracies and downright lies that people consistently post about what I say on here?
Aye - lets just move on from that. Until the next time of course.
In terms of the finances.
Who knows? I am not an expert on Rangers finances.
From what I can see the club are clearly speculating to accumulate to a degree. And so far it has worked in terms of European qualification.
We are now looking at our second season of Europa league football which has added a lot financially.
The four home qualifiers brought in probably on average £1m per game at £20 a ticket average price.
Plus the club made decent money selling the rights to the last couple of qualifier games at least directly through Rangers TV.
The three group games will be sold out at around £40 a ticket so will bring in another £6m at the gate.
And that is before group stage TV money, prize money etc.
So income is increasing. Is it increasing to the level that sustains our current spending? probably not.
I do think we have brought in too many players. I can see the logic behind some of the recruitment but guys like Barker, Hastie and Stewart are kind of head scratchers.
The squad is too big and the wage bill is too big. And although Kents fee is spread out over two years it is still an unexpected level of spend.
Where it will all go and what it means for rangers long term - who knows.

Fair enough Fash, but its seems even £6M given where the club is at the moment is a lot and by all accounts there will be another £5M at some point for Kent.
I am no Kerrydale accountant just asking what even a few Rangers fans must be asking, the EL wont be in yet I would imagine, no credit line etc... seems a gamble to me.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The only people that would know if that is right or not run the club and have access to a lot more information that us.
I trust King etc, they have made decisions consistently in the best interest of the club and invested a lot of money, time and effort to get us back competing.

This is simple - hen Boyata gave the ball away at the half way line to Windass two seasons ago the response was - yeah he still had work to do and finished it well but ultimately the chance came from a mistake.
And sundays goal was very similar. A CB giving the ball away leaving himself way out of position and creating an opening for Celtic.
Celtic still had work to do to finish it off - and they did it very well.
But it came from a mistake pure and simple.
The game was very tight up until that point. It was a schoolboy howler from Goldson and it changed the game.
the away end at the second goal looked amazing, total limbs aw er the gaff
