Having no clue or interest in what this social meeeeja stuff is, I'd have thought that the grown up thing to do was to not go on there and read about it in the first place.

To be fair to Milner, he is actually quite amusing on Twitter. Which is odd, as he is one of the most boring people I have ever met.
What shearer said is daft though and shows more what shearer is about than Owen.
It is quite easy to hate what you are doing and where you are at mentally regardless of the money involved.
I love the photo on the cover of Owen's new book. Owen, stood in the shadows, black hoodie up, sporting a week's beard growth. Edgy. Dangerous even.

Didn't Owen say that he didn't watch films and had only seen about 6 films in his life?
I recall Shearer as a pundit at a WC saying “England are either brilliant or terrible, nothing in between. So far two average performances”.

“Well done, he’s 49” is probably my favourite comment, I know people say Twitter spats are childish, which they are but they are also very funny at times.
