Nah I'll give Clarke the benefit of the doubt. McTominay has been playing well this season and so has Christie. It shouldn't be one or the other but with McGinn and McGregor being the other first two choices then I can see why it's between they two. I thought we competed wit Russia in the middle but it was our defence and in ability in front of goal that cost us.

Who do we genuinely have up top? Griffiths when fit - that's it.

Defensively we are a shambles if we don't have our main choices available. Mulgrew hasn't kicked a ball for Wigan yet is thrown in against one of the top sides in the world.

Mulgrew and Cooper looked a little out their depth but i wouldn't blame them too much.

Polovkin? Don't you mean Golovin Bit difficult to chase a player round that doesn't exist

They all sound the same.

Its a mentality thing with Scotland, score one/take the lead, sit back and try and soak it up, it never works, especially after scoring so soon, he picked the right team I thought, but to get Christie in the team he probably needs to go right up front

See a few changes predicted tonight, McLean, Snodgrass, Phillips & Christie in for McGregor, McGinn, McBurnie and Forrest according to the daily rags

Btw, McGinn would have been as well sitting next to me on the couch after his goal.

McGregor wasn't much better either.

I thought we played quite well but our defence let us down.

Fact is when you have mulgrew and cooper at centre half you will struggle.

We were chite.
The RB was extra chite.

Why didn't Clarke just set Scotland up like his Killie team?

Speaking of which, Eamon brophy would have been a better choice than McBurnie.

Chopping and changing managers isn't going to make a difference. We need to stick with Clarke now and allow him to get his best team and formation sorted out before the play offs.

There's only one place where the blame lies here, and that is on Celtic and Rangers. That's two. But it's one place really. A place we never wanted to be.

Anyway, Celtic happy to just keep getting steadily worse just as long as you stay above Rangers. No ambition in Europe, happy to crash out of the CL qualifiers at the earliest opportunity. It is not a great attitude to instil in your young Scottish players.

As for Rangers, they have two Scottish players in their squad. Might as well go and play in League 2 in England.

The fans are not entirely blameless either (Celtic and Rangers fans) and also their dogs cos they shiite on pitches our young players should be developing on. Their wives as well. There would be less of this sectarian nonsense if their wives put out a bit more.

What else? Personal hygiene. That's an issue. Just in general.

Happy enough to stick with Clarke ... can't see any other manager wanting it anyway, in all honesty.

That was a particularly depressing "performance" on Friday though. Clarke now claiming post-match that there's no mentality problems in the squad, but they collectively sh@t that game big style, after taking the lead. We know most of our players have inferior technique, but we managed to make a bang average Russia side look like a world select. Not quite sure what the tactics were, other than hoof it forward to the most over-priced so-called footballer in world football. Looked like primary school stuff at times. Overall it was just frantic, panicky and brainless.

In amongst that collective steaming pile of dung though, Stephen O'Donnell somehow achieved the remarkable feat of looking THE most out of his depth. There's a reason he's still playing for Killie at age 27. Bullet dodged.

I didn't see a clear plan of tactics either.

I'd also have Kenny McLean starting as he keeps the ball well and actually sees a forward pass quickly.

That was him. I've got my name back.

Still can't post on heed articles which is a shame. Great debate between him and jfk last night where heed really had some groundbreaking points to make such as "rangers" and "KTF"

Scotland shat it by the way. A team that has no idea what to do when they take a lead.
