Really unlucky to lose Emerson as well now. After the likes of Reece James and Hudson-Odoi cement their place in the team we'll look back at the start of this season and realise just how weakened and held back by injuries to key players we were.
Emerson, Rudiger, Kante, Reece James, Hudson-Odoi and Loftus-Cheek are six out of our potential starting 10 outfield players.
You only need to add Tammy, Mount, Jorginho and a CB to that and you have our starting outfield team.
Seems we always have some sort of issues before we play liverpool at anfield, the amount of times we've played a patched up, make shift team against them in recent years is frustrating.
Our injury issues are a joke currently. I know Frank is new to management but he has both his hands tied behind his back atm.
Couldn't agree more, I know results haven't been great but if you take over 50% of any other teams starting line up away id like to see how well they did. Hopefully kante and rudiger can at least come in to sure things up this weekend
JP I agree, unfortunately for us, it is not the game you want to bring people fresh off injuries back into. I'm not sure if both will start although it wouldn't suprise me.
Rudiger, Kante and CHO should all be fine now. RJ can't be too far away either.
Emerson said his injury is not serious and Mancini took him off early so it didn't get worse. He'll likely miss the Wolves game but should be fine for the weekend after.
We'll be close to our 1st team very soon.
The issue here is rushing them back TJ, if we could get a result against wolves while giving players a half or 30 mins that would be perfect, but I dont see the game panning out like that.
I don't think we're rushing Rudiger back - he's played 2 under 23 games and was fine. He's ready to come back in now and we desperately need him.
Kante has had 2 weeks to recover, we need his legs in midfield as we're playing a basketball style atm.
CHO has been in training for sometime too, I'm sure he'll be ready for the bench now.
Pedro should have also recovered so expect him to go straight back in.
Not sure what stage RJ is at but his need is also massive with Azpi's form.
We could've gone three at the back...but we shipped out our wing backs
We could therotically play with a back three + wing-backs, if Frank wished to do so in future and would be the enhanced version with Emerson & James as wing-backs instead of Alonso & Moses.
