Said on another article there that he had to be considered one of the best in the world atm? last 18-24 months he's been superb

The weird thing is, his technical skill set hasn’t improved much. He was already good at Liverpool and is still as good technically at City. What’s changed is his development in understanding the game. He knows exactly where to be most of the time and this is probably down to Pep. Sterling’s shooting was and still is a bit iffy at time but he accumulates goals by finding space in the box. He also knows when to pass and when to dribble. If Rashford learns these skill he can also become a class player, the only question is, can Ole teach him?

He certainly has, but remember he’ll be fresher as he had last summer off while a lot of players were at the World Cup

Shame he couldn't do it in the WC when we needed him.

Great little player, he's an out and out goalscorer now. Strangely less fun to watch than he used to be but his decision making and his movement in the box is brilliant.

Should have been PFA player of the year.

I said it when he scored against Bulgaria: I can’t think of many players who score so many goals from inside the 6-yard box. And that’s not a criticism by any means. He’s always on the spot and City are so good at cutting teams apart even in their own area.

They are all crap. Kosovo are rubbish but they still might get something yet out of this game yet if this continues

Yeah Kosovo are really poor.

Kosovo are having a blinder. 5 down and having a right go and are just 2 behind. Fair play to them. Teams like Burnley would still play 11 behind the ball and timewaste.

Definitely no a criticism from me either. This is how I’d like Rashford to play because he has a similar skill set, he just doesn’t know how to use it.

Trent looks pretty awful when he’s not in Klopps system and this is proof he’s a good manager. Even VVD looks more vulnerable when he’s not playing in the same system.

A lot of players look poor out of klopps system. Goetze and Kagawa spring to mind.

You talking crap about VVD. If he was not in the team Germany would have won easily.

Actually he had this at Liverpool too and it's what we kept telling people when they called him a speed merchant, another Aaron Lennon. Rodgers taught him well tactically and introduced him to other roles to help with that like wing back and behind the striker. He has of course developed further at City and his shooting has improved massively.

I’m not though am I. People get very touchy about their players.

I said he looks more vulnerable out of the system, not that he’s schit. I still think he’s the best in the world at the moment.

I find him far more fun to watch nowadays the World Cup, I thought Southgate got his positioning completely wrong and the 352 didn’t suit either him or Kane. Both look far better in the 433.

He's always been a fantastic player, but his confidence has grown. The chit he got playing for England really knocked him, but he seems to be over that now. Still got his best years ahead too.

Sterling being at the best club in the country with the best coach in the world has helped him hugely. Not having the weight of trying to expunge decades of failing in the PL probably helps.

What about the weight of trying to expunge a history of failing in Europe, whilst the best team in Europe mop up number six?

Nah completely disagree i remember when he broke into the game for us and the most impressive thing about him at that age was his positioning and game intelligence for his age.

I think pep would admit that most of his development and improvement down to raheem himself and hes a joy to work with etc. i think pep encourages players to attack more look at him questioning nathan redmond for example, Sterling seems to be more relentless now similar to salah in that hes still not exactly clinical but relentless in getting himself in those positions in the first place.
