The weird thing is, his technical skill set hasn’t improved much. He was already good at Liverpool and is still as good technically at City. What’s changed is his development in understanding the game. He knows exactly where to be most of the time and this is probably down to Pep. Sterling’s shooting was and still is a bit iffy at time but he accumulates goals by finding space in the box. He also knows when to pass and when to dribble. If Rashford learns these skill he can also become a class player, the only question is, can Ole teach him?

Nah completely disagree i remember when he broke into the game for us and the most impressive thing about him at that age was his positioning and game intelligence for his age.

Exactly. We kept telling people this and they kept calling him a one trick pony who only had pace. Then he leaves and people actually watch him and talk about his tactical intelligence and how he now has that. He already had it. He has just improved as he has got older.

Sterling being at the best club in the country with the best coach in the world has helped him hugely. Not having the weight of trying to expunge decades of failing in the PL probably helps.

What about the weight of trying to expunge a history of failing in Europe, whilst the best team in Europe mop up number six?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Not even the best team in the PL.

The trophy in the cabinet says different! Best team in Europe and don't you forget it.

If you're not the best team in your own country you're nowhere.

If you have had more than 50 attempts at winning the domestic treble and failed every time as well as nearly 30 attempts at winning the PL and slipped up every time you are certainly not the best team in the country. Some would do well to remember that.
