Return of the Kent.

It will be good to be back after the sheidtshow that is the Scotland national team.

I would go 3-0 Rangers - same as the last two games against them last season.

Livvy will be well organised like last season but ultimately lacking in quality. And without the advantage of their terrible home pitch I would expect us to prevail.

King might get a start with Jack a doubt. Aribo may be rested after an away game in the Ukraine. Kamara played the whole match against Italy on sunday but will have had extra recovery time so may start.

Kent I would expect to see coming off the bench.

Alfredo will be well rested after being overlooked by Colombia again so I will go for 2 goals for Alfredo and 1 for Aribo off the bench.

Celtic to win 4-0 against Accies who are a poor team.

Should be two wins but both will be narrow due to the way these teams set up to do nothing much more than damage limitation.

Pretty dire affairs I’m expecting in all honesty.

Kent has to start, he's been fit for ages and playing games for Liverpool reserves after a full pre-season.

Fook Ojo and Arfield being the two wide options, no width at all. Can't see Barker or Murphy getting a start over Kent either. I'll be furious if he doesn't start him, Gerrard's already cost us with his line up last time out.

No need for trying to look smart, best 11 that are fit and get the 3 points.

I fully expect Celtic to hump Hamilton, they are tragic and not even a plastic pitch can help them. Very little quality in their team, they rely on that baldy bastirt in midfield to run about snarling at people and hoping they can nick a goal on the break.

Like Celtic at Ibrox

Aye.

Arfield looked good in that role. However it really doesn't help us have much varied play. We look far too predictable at times.
Kent should really help that with his movement and a a defender I wouldn't want to second guess him either or you could end up looking like an utter Lustig.

Absence does indeed make the heart grow fonder. Last season when Rangers struggled to break down defences the player I remember coming in for a lot of stick on here was Ryan Kent. He did better against Celtic in a more open game but other than that he wasn't that great.

There's a reason no clubs in England where willing to buy him. He's a £2m player that Rangers paid £7m for in a panicked reaction to the realisation that they were still 2nd best

He has to start. Gerrard has already fooked us once this season by playing a weak side.

Would drop Goldson for Helander, although I suspect it'll be Katic who makes way as Goldson seems undroppable for some unknown reason.

As for who starts on the right, no idea. None of the options are good enough imo, might as well give Grezda another chance

I'd play:

McGregor
Tav-Katic-Helander-Barasic
Kamara-King-Davis
??-Morelos-Kent

I reckon it will be Arfield unless he moves him back into midfield (as i don't think he was on international duty) if not Ojo.

Ojo who can finish but can't do anything else on recent evidence. Barker might get a chance but i doubt it unless it's off the bench.

Kent is having some pressure put on him, not by all bears but a lot are pinning their league hopes on him having some baller of a season.

He is a decent player but and this is only my opinion not so good he can make the difference over the campaign to secure Rangers the title. £7M would have been better spent on a number 10 who can open stubborn (Livvy) type defences.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We don't play with a number 10 so that would have been a waste of 7m.

He creates space centrally by dragging players out wide, which lets the midfielders get up in support.

The good games I have seen him have Fash, he has plenty of space to run into. You just don't get that most of the time as teams bed in.

You will have seen a lot more of him than me, so I bow to your superior knowledge, still not sure he will make the difference overall.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Makes a huge difference to us because he is prepared to go past a man and even with packed defences he creates chaos.

Wide areas have been our weak spot so far this season so i'm hoping we will take it up another level now

Now if he could add Ojo's finishing and literally nothing else from Ojo we would be laughing.

You need a different approach at times with these teams that sit in, might well be Kent but then why did he not do it last season?

Celtic have Bayo and options of going long or getting lots of crosses in the box in stead of trying to slice through mega packed defences

Last season he was the difference v a few teams but when he's not doing it someone else needs to. Even Messi doesn't do it every games FFS.

Nobody expects him to come and win every game on his own but the OF aside we've been better than last season, now add him in and it gives us another dimension.
