Such a shame we got him at the end. Really wanted him when Ajax sold him go Hamburg.

Yeah, Lo Celso hasn’t quite had the same impact!
Love Rafa, one of my favourite ever players as well. Always felt he didn't get the credit he deserves cos everyone was busy fawning over Modric, who whilst quality, was a bit over rated.
Saw him as pundit on TV for the Dutch match, he's blown up like a singing frog. Got fat quick after he stopped playing.
My top 3 spurs players. Outstanding for us and so much passion for the club and still tweets about us to this day.

Back in summer 2004, Rafael Van der Vaart was the number one obsession on the United board on the old BBC606. Can’t recall exactly what happened to him between then and Spurs but remember it being quite a coup when he went to Spurs.
