Understand what your saying.
I’d be amazed in this day of agents that any championship player didn’t have a clause in their contract, especially one like Leeds who are one of the faves. Why would cooper agree a 5yr 15-20k? champ wage when he could be in the prem inside 8 months and able to command double to treble that?

yeah fair point, but you're assuming that we will go up.. who knows eh? - There could well be some form of clause in their to re-negotiate if we do.

all we can do is work on the here and now, Cooper is a top player for us, our captain in fact, and we've tied him down to 5 years..

the 'problem' of wages and promotion maybe a better debate if we do go up..

lets hope we do go up... then you and I can have huge barny on whether it was the right thing to do offering Dallas / Cooper these deals

Kebab, why wouldn’t they agree to a contract extension the only offers a Basic increase on promotion? Where Are they going to get a better offer with a more likely chance of promotion?

I'd be surprised if nobody from the more money than sense league haven't been looking at Cooper, he got better as last season went on and is carrying on this!..

Its good the club have nailed these players down, we don't go up things stay as they are than it'd be up to others if they want to chance it with them!..

Can only be good for the club!..

It might also happen that the partnership he and White are building when White returns to his Mother Club they might take Cooper with him, that's if we stay down and White doesn't stay here!..

Germany, whats the deal with White? - have we got an option to buy if we go up?

Spanish, as far as I know not, but reading stats like this I'd love for him to stay!..

But it is also these sort of stats that'll make it very hard for us to get him!..

Germany

A premiership Leeds United will have a lot more pull than a Championship Leeds United in terms of transfers, so lets hope we go up

It's a win-win situation, a complete no-brainer, to sign Cooper and Dallas up to longer contracts at this point. I think Dallas is more influential than we give him credit for. I can see why Bielsa likes him as he is always driving forward and he's a strong bloke and he's got a great attitude. He's also reasonably quick, is not afraid to take a shot and can finish very coolly. His defensive play can sometimes leave something to be desired but generally, in an attacking philosophy, Stuart Dallas is a great asset.

If cooper has signed a five year extension dosent that take him to pretty much testimonial time if he sees it out
