Emery is a bum

I wanted to give him as long as possible, but today was unacceptable.

I said the guy was a loser when he was appointed. I at least thought he could prevent a team bottom of the table having 31 fecking shots against us.

He’ll be here until CL is gone but we really should be looking for a replacement

I actually thought he'd do well. But it really is obvious he doesn't have a clue what da hell he's doing.

He needs to be fired. At the very least, let him go when the contract expires at the end of the season. No urgency, no shape, no idea as to the team's attacking or defensive philosophy. And yes, we play a painfully turgid style at the moment.

But how stupid are the players to not fo something different on goal kicks? They had 2 close shaves...but kept doing it. Stupid beyond belief?

The only excuse I can give Emery is that Bellerin, Tierney and Holding are injured. If these guys don’t make a difference (defensively I don’t think they will but that’s another topic) then he doesn’t have much left to hang onto.

It's actually humiliating. He's always changing formations every game and having to make changes at half time on top of those. How does he think he's fit for the job?

I was willing to give him the Tierney and Bellerin escape route too, but today was just appalling. There's no excuses for that.

Just about the only thing Emery did right last season was his subs - usually because his starting team was sheite and had to be corrected. There is no redeeming quality this season. Every time we travel, every single team in the division know we are fair play to have a real crack at.

The quality of football is so bad, even if we do get top 4 it's not acceptable that we can't control games even against bottom half teams. The writing is on the wall for him.

Yup, today was the day I've finally turned on him 100%. He's not the man for us. And I'm fairly sure he has killed the confidence of most of the players with his bizarre substitutions and starting 11s.

Who is out there realistically to replace him? Allegri will not be interested bearing in mind the level hes been managing at.

He's made us worse going forward and defensively from the Wenger era, even compared to Wenger's last season which was by far his worst.

I genuinely wouldn't mind Ljunberg taking over as caretaker manager until the end of the season. At least he knows the club inside out, is well respected and I'd wager he would better utilise the squad than Emery has.

The salary?
Before Emery, I've only know an Arsenal team under Wenger since I was like 5-years-old. I'm just not used to watching a team that is so impotent offensively as we are now. The football is painful to watch. You'd at least understand the lack of flair and imagination and creativity if we were a solid unit, but we still can't defend.

Sorry that's rubbish he's had two summer windows to identify the players he wanted, alot of players have gone out as well. He has no excuses if he gets sacked at some point.

It's Arsenal - not Lleyton Orient. Getting managers to come to London's biggest club on a huge salary is hardly a problem. I'm sure we won't be short of options at any time.

We passed over Arteta for this guy.

I'm not saying Arteta would have done any better, but Emery achieved fack all last year and has failed to build from it. That time could have been given to a potential top class manager whether it was Arteta, Vieira or Ljungberg or whoever.

Emery is clueless away from home. His teams are worse than any wenger Arsenal side. Arsenal were awful at home last season as well but won most of the games despite having around the same amount of chances as the opposition.

By the looks of things, Emery's lost a lot of the fanbase today. It seems like today was the final straw.

We could struggle to find a top level manager but even then I'd rather go for someone like Eddie Howe or a foreign alternative who can build, play attacking football and has a vision. Emery clearly isn't top level and he's a more pragmatic manager but he can't even sort out our away form or tighten us up defensively so what's the point

Against this same Watford team last season, Deeney was sent off early in the 1st half last season and for long periods of that match, we got battered and couldn't impose ourselves. Emery is just hopelessly incompetent away from home. We just can't control games away from home - a strange thing for a top 5/top 6 team. Just like his Sevilla team, who were a pretty good side, went an entire season winless away last season. I can't understand such a record.

Watford had 31 attempts at goal. Is that right?

They absolutely battered us in the 2nd half. It was wave after wave after wave of attack. It looked like 13 against 10 men.
