Good news but if he doesn’t find his form again might be a curse as we’re possibly stuck with a keeper whose best days might have been behind him. I don’t buy his poor form was because he was distracted by his club situation. Makes no sense. When he was dropped by LVG it was because the move was within 1/2 weeks of the dropping and that could have been a situation. But as far as I’m aware this hasn’t really gottten close at all to him leaving us.
As it is we have a keeper who is poor with the ball at his feet and we’re possibly moving to a footballing future where the best keepers are judged on their footwork and quick reactions at coming off their line rather than shot stopping.
I guess we will find out in the next few months if it was just his head and mind being elsewhere.

Yeah, that save against Madison was hugely important for us. Imo the best shot stopper in the world. Hopefully we can build something good in front of him 👍

He's not "poor" with the ball at his feet in the slightest. He may not be one of the top keepers in this regards, but he's not a slogger either. We've got three CB's who are good with the ball in Maguire, Lindelof & Tuanzebe. It's not really an issue.
He does need to cut the strange errors out quickly though. Only time will tell if his mind was elsewhere or the issues are more terminal.
Great news. I am somewhat surprised he has, but he’s a top player, so this is great.

I don't think DDG is particularly poor with his feet... His distribution isn't Schmeichel or Edwin level obv... And he's not the sweeper keeper as is the fashion atm
He's a hell of a shot stopper though... Admittedly with a spell of poor form last year... But I think given some of the "dave saves" displays down the years we can forgive him
As long as he's got his focus and form back... This is brilliant news

imo De Gea cost us top 4 last season simply because of the individual errors that cost towards the end that cost us a shiiiiit load of points.
yes points were dropped elsewhere and mistakes made by others, but this was a huge difference overall.
However.... that comment from Robb is an absolute pile of stinky poo poo.
when the feck is a Goalkeeper EVER going to be judged more on his ability to kick a ball rather than keep it out the net?
