Do you guys consider them the best midfield in football right now then given your success last season?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I consider them one of the best. They have proved it over the last couple of seasons, where they have dominated the ball most games and been relentless in others, starving the opposition of the ball and putting them off their stride. They're an excellent midfield.

Can you name all the better ones?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Can you?

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Not easily. Which is the point I'm making. You believe you could swap United's crap midfield for our CL winning midfield and it wouldn't make a difference, so you must believe many are better. I'd like to know which you believe are better. Just for laughs.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I dont consider our midfield crap. I just dont believe individually, there is much in it, and has already been said many times, klopp could probably get our midfield performing as well if not better than yours probably does.

Our shiiiiiiiiiit midfield will go away to Napoli tonight. Really tough game to kick off our CL campaign and the first of four away games on the trot.

I dont think it clashes with Utd playing, couldnt find their midfield which is equally as good if not better, lining up anywhere tonight so maybe RDD can learn something.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Yes. Let's revisit this during or after tonight's game and you can explain the midfield masterclass.

Based on what exactly? He couldnt with what we had bar Henderson and spent over £100m on midfielders that he wanted.

The thought of him getting a tune out if the likes of Matic, Perriera, Pogba and Fred seems unlikely when looking at the midfields he put together at Dortmund and Liverpool.

“Settle a debate for me please.

Would Liverpool / Uniteds seasons have ended any differently if we swapped midfields for the season?“

Yes they would have done.

Liverpool's midfield is part of their system. It only works because it's a part of that system. You put it into the Man Utd team and without the players around them that they have at Liverpool, the midfield wouldn't be able to do anything on their own. Man Utd have no creativity without Paul Pogba. The Liverpool midfield has no creativity full stop. They'd be worse off with Liverpool's midfield.

So Klopp couldnt created a good midfield from Pogba, Fred and McTominay?

Nobody could.

1 over-rated prima donna, and 2 donkeys.

I doubt it, not one hed be happy with anyway and certainly not one that would challenge. Pogba is pretty much the opposite of what he looks for, Fred just isnt that good and lacks power and McTominay doesnt look after the ball well enough and has poor tekkers. Utd had less than a 80% passing success rate from midfield at the weekend with 41% possession. At home. That's awful.

If Klopp cant get Pogba performing then he cant be all that good a manager. Same if hebcant get McTominay to the level of Henderson

Or...... Theyre not nearly as good as you think they are. You cant polish a 💩, he'd probably sprinkle some glitter on though.

Ole certainly isnt either way.

Guys, there isnt that big a gap in ability between your midfielders and ours as individuals. There just isnt.

I cant wait for the midfield masterclass tonight though.

MOTM tonight, Fabinho, Wijnaldum, Henderson? Too tough to call.

Yes youve said and even wrote an article in attempt reinforce your view point.

Of the plethora of posters the only one who agrees is wahl. Nuff said really.

What tactics do you think we'll emply RDD?

Sweeper keeper, forwards high press with VVD pinging it about again?

You’d think with those tactics it’d be easy for the opposition to figure out how to stop us.

Yet we’ve won 14 on the bounce, won the CL and Super Cup, have been unbeaten at Anfield in 42 games and lost one game last season, to eventual champions City. All with a midfield that ‘huffs and puffs’.

That’s an amazing achievement.

Who feeds the likes of Robertson, Trent and Firmino (who drops deep) who then in turn play it to one of Salah and Mane?

I wonder if Milner will add to assists tonight? Nobody has more in the CL over the last 2 years so every chance. Messi huffing and puffing to keep up.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Probably will. LB tonight isnt he?

Our midfield is highly skilled and are trained to win midfield battles and execute some of the best strategies & tactics in football.

They may not have been top class before but they are now. We have Shaqiri, Lallana & Keira too which is more attacking flair than United have. Our other team minded/tactical midfielders are very effective and smarter going forward than United's tbf

Yes, your midfielders pass the ball to the dangerous players. Hardly makes them world class mate

Rank the areas of your team GK, DEF, MID AND ATT in terms of their influence on your game.

Name the players in your ideal 11 in order of influence on your team.

I bet the midfield is bottom of both lists
