Thinn Sessegnon will be a rotation player for us by like early 2020

We can name a massive bench for UCL games (12 players i think?) so anyone is in with a shout of playing. Would like us to start a strong team (couple changes) and then change it about later depending on how things pan out.

Olympiakos have 3 wins from 3 in their league without conceding a goal and won 5-0 at the weekend vs 10 men.

Pretty sure the 12 subs thing is just for the finals

OK. What's the point in restricting it to the final?

Because you can use a fourth sub if it goes to extra time so they want to give the manager a better selection.

In my view the rest of the squad of 25 should be allowed on the bench if they aren’t in the starting 11 for every competition.

Hope he starts against Colchester though. Not on the bench at the expense of someone like Son or Kane who we will run into the ground no doubt.

kane coming on v tranmere or whoever we played at about 6-0 up last season, in the middle of busy fixtures, in the freezing cold, was one of the most idiotic thing poch must have ever done. risking it all for zero reward - unless it is some kind of contractual agreement that he has to play at least 1 minute of every match when fit.

ludicrous. up there with some of AVBs nonsense in the Europa league with dembele (poch has also facked this up before)
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Poch said it was so the young fans of Tranmere got to see the England Captain and a World Class player at their stadium.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
what are we a charity?

tranmere is in Liverpool.. they can go to anfield and see world class players whenever they want.

absolutely ridiculous.

Agreed, it would double the attendances of stadidums such as The Etihad.

Never understood why this was an issue.

Came on with 10 minutes left.

Tranmere fans got see the country's best striker play on their pitch. Could be 10 years+ before they ever see a world class player on their in their ground.

I thought it was a nice touch. Would usually be just the reserves playing.

I think it was an educated risk. With 10 minutes left and the game already won, Kane wasn't going to over-exert himself and we weren't exactly playing a dirty team.

IF we have an issue with Kane playing 10 mins in th FA Cup, then surely everyone should be losing their sheeet for Southgate selecting him (and usually plays a full 90) against minnows in pointless friendlies...

He's a striker, he wants to play every game.

As a striker he needs to get in the box more. Keeps dropping deep and his goal scoring has tailed off a bit as a result. This season and last he has no hat-tricks and 4 braces in all comps. The season before that 9 braces and 3 hat-tricks. Something not been quite right with him for why he drops deep so often now. Did the whole "claiming Eriksen's goal" thing get in his head too much and he's trying to appear less selfish?

I'd like to think with more performances like against Palace he'll get back in that form but the fact he didn't score in that game makes me think the issue is still there.

I think it's because we basically play with two upfront now. If I'm not mistaken, when Kane was at his most prolific we played with more width and Kane was the only one in the middle. As I said, now he pretty much plays in a two with Son, so he needs to find space in different areas of the pitch.

Basically playing a 4231 with Ndombele should make us a much better team

Should

We really do need to play with more width. I have no problem with Lucas and Son drifting infield, but rarely do we see them hugging the touchline and giving full-backs a hard time anymore.

Not sure why people are worried about Harry. He’s still the best striker in Europe for me. No natural striker comes close for me. Obviously I don’t include the likes of Messi and Ronaldo as “strikers”, but there is Boone better than Harry for me when he’s on it. He didn’t score v palace, but that set up was De Bruyne esque. Absolute class act.

The only worrying thing about Harry is that he has started to move away from the "box", and started playing as a link up player in attack.

I'd rather he was in the box solely there and finishing off our chances. Though, in the last game, we were so dynamic, all the players, that it didn't matter in the end but there will be games, where Harry needs to stay in the box to finish off chances.
