I agree . Cannot be good having a great game then being dropped for the next.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Aurier, Son and Lamela all had good to great games at the weekend, all three were dropped last night.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah we need to stick with what's working and get some facking consistency. We don't need to rotate so much now. Get on a good winning run with a good first 11 and then we can start thinking about resting players when games come thick and fast.

Main priority now is to go on a winning run and build momentum and belief.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Just to add further evidence to my point that we need the same 11 for a sustained period was the 2016 season when the same 11 virtually picked themselves and played majority of games bar injury.

It`s not rocket science, is it, a settled side is the best way forward. All the best sides, have nine or 10 set in stone. The manager making five changes from what was Spurs best performance of the season was an absolute carcrash of a team selection.

Obviously from time to time the odd player can be rested, but this rotation marlarky is getting completely out of hand now, with half the team being constantly rotated, without any benefit to results.

Another thing you can say about Moura is that he's probably won more silverware than the rest of the team combined through his time at PSG. We don't have many players in the side experienced at winning stuff. It can help to transform a player's mentality.

Lucas won a lot more than the others in Eredivisie, and the Dutch League as we know is inferior.

I said this exact statement last night on the match thread. He’s currently 1st name on the team sheet for me. He must start v Leicester. Ali to be dropped for me or Eriksen.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Don, you best be better than Dele if he is being dropped for you

From a neautral point of view Poch is a fantastic manager but by far his biggest mistake at Spurs was dropping Lucas for the CL final. He is a very good player imo. I'd have him Don and Kane in a front 3 personally and drop Alli
------------------------------

Don for the win. I personally would like to see Don replace Poch, but seen as you all want him in the squad

Lucas Moura is a legend already. He has already established himself as a "King of White Hart Lane".

His treatment by constantly being benched is absolutely disgusting to witness. Him being left out of the CL Final has actually made me accept that we never deserved to win it and we did win it it wouldn't have bean fair play. Karma, anyone?

Absolutely. There would be no question he'd have come out during the Closing Ceremony at the original WHL with the announcer calling out, "next up, he single handedly qualified Tottenham Hotspur into our first ever Champions League Final with a mesmerizing dazzling unbelievable hat trick. Forever grateful to this legend in his own right... Luuuucas Moura!"

I have always said that playing Kane (just back from injury and not match fit) instead Moura (match fit and scoring goals in the semi-final) was NOT Pochettino's decision.
It was a political decision forced on Pochettino by the club. And of course Kane was a big part of that.
Kane carries a lot of clout in this club!

I know at won't be popular but I would of been quite happy if he had started instead of Son. He is a very hot and cold player and at the end of last season he wasn't playing well.

Either way Moura should have been the first name on the teamsheet, we might not have played any better but it couldn't of been any worse. We'll never know?

As I've said on many occasions since the cl final if Poch left (under any circumstances) I wouldn't be crying in my beer about it.

Son is more hot than cold though, and is easily part of our best eleven. I don't really buy this hot and cold malarkey anyway, there was one time he was World Class and then went on a poor streak agreed, but now it seems like he can play four worldies, have two average games and then everyone says he's in a cold spell playing like a League One player.

Everyone knows my love for dele but even I didn’t have him in my starting 11.

Kane had to start but we need pace around him which need both son & Lucas.

I think part of it was down to people just knowing that Dele would start, so they automatically put him in their starting eleven. I would love the Dele of 2/3 seasons ago to return. People are starting to realise that he shouldn't be in our first eleven now.

Son is a cracking player but for some reason (who can explain these things) his peaks and troughs are extreme.

Dele is a shadow of the player he was 2/3 season ago, he seems to have lost his swagger and youthful arrogance.

So once more Lucas Moura is left out and then given 5 mins to save the game at the end.

If I were him I would fack off. We are totally mismanaging the player.

This is why Lucas isn’t a nailed on starter.

He’s a individualist which means if he’s not on it he’s anonymous.

maybe, but the problem is that none of his colleagues are on it either, and he is on it more often than they are
