I suggest the former is highly unlikely - based on the evidence of the academy's output over the past 20 years.

But the latter is likely to happen regardless - also based on the evidence of club's practise over the past 6-8years

This is what we've wanted to see. Let's hope some of the kids can show something. Regardless, I hope Ole persists with them and gives them these sorts of games to grow in confidence.

Bit of a risk this. I think Young, Mata and Lingard should be in there for their quality and experience...

Gomes, Chong and Greenwood probably have better understanding with each other than any of our senior players do.

Ole put his money where he mouth is. Really excited to see these lads start a match, and it's a good opportunity to give Jones and Rojo a workout. They're still our players and we may need them if we hit an injury patch. We know they have ability (maybe not football brains).
