Can't base chongs career on that one game but ok to the other stuff

Can't argue with any of that. Chong will be playing for Cowdenbeath in a few years and Rojo is a 10/10 for just pure entertainment value.

I actually thought Gomes was ok. Would rather see him there over Lingard against park the bus opposition at OT.

I agree on Chong. Doesn’t quite seem to have it.

Rashford needs to improve. A top player puts away those chances 1st and then it’s a comfortable night.

I still love Rojo, but don't really know why.

Was thinking similar throughout!

Whatever his limitations he does look like he gives a damn.

Greenwood deserves a start up front in games like this with Rashford being so poor.

Probably Mike, but he had to earn the right, he's on the way now I think and hope.

The worrying thing is that if you’d never seen United played before tonight and if you were asked who out of Rashford, Chong, Gomes and Greenwood has played nearly 200 games for United you wouldn’t know.

Chong is still very raw, he’s not ready to be in and around the first team IMO, despite what some of our supporters seem to think.

I like the look of Gomes, I think he could be a clever little player for us as an ACM or a number 10, I know he scored tonight but I’d like to see Greenwood start through the middle sometime.

There is no place for the number 10 in the modern football.

He can play in a midfield three but in a more advanced role like Silva and KDB do for City.

Owen Hargreaves thinking we rely on the opposition to have possession for us to break them down and we struggle in games we have possession.

He mentioned the games we didn't win as a point. I don't get how pundits/ ex players make lazy points. If he actually bothered to watch even the highlights he would have seen we missed many clear chances in all 3 of the games we didn't win. Today as well we created a lot of chances but missed.

Wouldn't argue with much of that. Chong looks like a free style footballer when I see him play. He has some talent but doesn't seem like a pro footballer at this stage. Dalot's crossing was hopeless.

Fred was decent, not spectacular, but decent. Problem is that goes for most of our CMs. Rashford was better than a lot seem to think he was imo. But he can't finish for toffee. Rojo was great entertainment value and all in all had a good game. I'd never trust him in a really important match though. Gomes wasn't bad at all. Tuanzebe didn't look out of place, albeit against a weak opposition who didn't test him

Forgot to mention Greenwood who struggled to get into the game at time but showed that he can make the difference in the final third, when he did get the chance. I think if we were more creative, he could be doing what Abraham is at Chelsea

The first time I’ve watched the full 90 mins for a long time. I like the look of Gomez. Chong not so much. Both still very raw though. Rashford needs to find his scoring boots. I also like watching Rojo. Not good enough though.

Greenwood is still very sleight and lacks presence, which is understandable given his age but makes him peripheral as a striker. People complain about Rashford’s finishing, and rightly so, but when he was playing through the middle he caused their defenders more problems than Greenwood did when he switched in there in the second half.

Even still, it’s a problem for Rashford and Martial also. Our strikers don’t cause enough problems for cb’s.

merrysupersteve we are very creative. Rashford could easily had another 4 easy goals this season. Greenwood maybe will be the one to take those big chances. It's amazing this season the opposition barely create a chance against us and it's our attackers having finishing practice every game but miss most of the time.

There is truth to that Hafi. And tbf Greenwood would need to be starting games to do what Abraham is at Chelsea, so that was a bit of a silly point on my part

Would like to see more of Gomes than Mata this season. Looked promising first half.
Greenwood reminds me of RVP, signs are very promising even in pre season , he produced a couple of goals.
Would like to see Tuanzebe start in the PL, with all due respect i cannot judge him off the back of this performance against Astana

Cantona 7

I suppose it's the one blessing of being in the Europa. He'll continue to get opportunities and if he performs well enough, then you'd expect him to gradually replace the more senior players who aren't performing

I nearly cracked up when Hargreaves said we struggle to break teams down hence why we didn't win those 3 games but in the 2 games we didn't have possession before this game we won as we could counter attack. It's hard to believe people especially ex players can get away with such nonsense. I remember BT sport after we beat Newcastle 0-1 with a late goal that they were in mourning that we won and how De Gea saved us from losing. All de Gea highlights was an easy save 1st half and easy save 2nd half at end and then they showed Man Utd missing 6 clear chances and then they changed there mind. Also remember once a commentary De Gea made 1 save 1 game and they kept talking about it for rest of game to make it sound he was busy while the other keeper was nearly in double figures in saves while ours had 1 easy save straight at him. Sorry for rant but I sometimes wonder if BT Sport people watch the game. They even mentioned that today we struggled to a 1-0 win against lowly Astana when ignoring the fact we near completely dominated the whole game and with better finishing would easily have won around 4-0.

Please shut up Hafi

We are a poor team and there is every chance we will fail to win our next 6 league games.

posted on 19/9/19

Just saw a stat we only won 2 of our last 10 premier league games and we have drawn 4 so only taken 10 points in last 10 PL games and in most of them we had higher expected goals then the opposition easily. You could say we are due a run of wins in the league.

Even Lawro hasn't watched our games. They seem to judge performances on results. Amazingly Solskjaer called it our best performances have been in the games we didn't win this season. You can't blame the manager when you dominate nearly 90 minutes every match as we have been doing this season. Even when teams have attacked us like Leicester City and Chelsea, they created very few clear chances. I honestly feeling the most optimistic I have been as for us to drop points we need us to miss tons of chances and the opposition to score from pretty much every chance.

Tottenham and Arsenal are shocking teams this season. They should drop out of the top 6 based on performances. I won't be surprised if Arsenal finish 10th and Spurs 8th this season. How long can you keep doing smash and grab wins for?

Years when you have forwards that are clinical, as is the case with those two.
