Glad to hear that you're getting better Rev!

Prospects are looking good, need Grabban to stay fit; he is turning out to be so much more than just a goal poacher.

Today’s the real litmus test on if we’ve got the mindset for top 6.

Our counter attacking style of play may not be that effective against a bottom 3 side who are playing away from home who are less likely to bring the game to us. Is sabri going to stick or twist on style?

Importantly we need to fix our mindset for these types of games. Too often do players try to coast through supposedly easier fixtures and then we get strung. We need to give the stokes as much/little respect as we give the Swansea’s.

I think we can do it and with a number of close teams playing each other. 3 points might be enough to break into the top 6.

2-0 forest 👍

I expect a similar game to the PNE and hope that Lamouchi will have a better plan with how to deal with Barnsley. They’ll look to spoil and try and take the sting out of the occasion you’d think. Important that the fans stick with them. With all of the Clough celebrations going on I am sure the atmosphere should be even more electric than for a normal 3pm kick off.

I reckon it will be a real battle but am backing Fores to pick up another 1-0 win a goal from the new improved Grabban.

Let’s not be looking ahead to Stoke away yet, though.

Good morning Rev and everyone else.

Have a great trip to the WFCG today. I hope there is a great result with a great performance thrown in for good measure for you.

Anyroad up, I went to the Alaves v Sevilla game last Sunday to see if Olly Burke would get his debut.

OB was on the bench (as would be expected). Alaves were absolutely awful for the entire first half, going in one goal down at HT.

OB was out on the pitch warming up vigorously for the last five minutes of the HT break with a trainer. He duly appeared before the second half started and took up a position in forward right midfield.

All in all, he played the same way as I remembered him at Forest with bags of pace and skill on the ball, without it, a bit lazy, very often walking and not covering the opposition's passes. I say that reservedly, as he saved the day for Alaves a couple of times when their goal was under pressure.

Alaves lost 0-1, having played far better in the second half. The press had a lot of good things to say about him and considered him a good acquisition for he season.

To today's match. I think that the manager will be livid if we perform like we did after the Fulham game. We really need a good performance from the team today and that should be expected against Barnsley. They will be hard to break down, but we do have the talent to secure a comfortable win.

If we match the performance we had against PNE then I would be worried that we could have another season when we flatter to deceive.

We need to be able to overcome teams who come to the City Ground armed only with spoiling tactics. Maybe Barnsley aren't one of those teams but if they are we should be prepared for a stop-start game and ten behind the ball.

On the other hand if they try to play a bit we could expect another Brum type game.

Either way I think we will win, whether we turn on the style remains to be seen.

(Morning Rev, thanks for posting)

Hopefully Barnsley won’t be as negative asPNE, if they are then Carvalho will be key. Assuming today’s game is slightly more open I am going for a win by the Reds by 2 goals, however, a boring negative philosophy from Barnsley and we may well struggle, again.
