I’m going to be say something I shouldn’t here, but part of me hopes we don’t get top 4. We can’t keep scraping top 4 and think this is enough. Drop out of it and it might be the wake up call the club needed.
On a separate note, Kane will leave IMO and I wouldn’t blame him. I feel as low as I ever have as a Spurs fan. These “high times” have actually been low really. No trophies and constant failure when needing to get over the line. The club is weak and I honestly believe fans who accept it are a massive part of the problem.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Great comment, prob is would there be a reaction if we didn’t get top four?
Lots of players will leave and then replacing them would be difficult as they know we don’t have champions league football, we’ve had chance after chance to push on from a great position over the last few years including getting a trophy but we’ve blown it every time, such a poor mentality okay we didn’t get the VAR decision so let’s just crumble because of it and throw the game away??? Total madness, bottlejobs plain and simple..........

Kane will definitely be off, if this allowed to continue, that is why a new manager needs to come in sooner, rather than later. This cannot be allowed to carry on. Just hope Levy has the balllllls to pull the trigger, and put us all out of our misery.
I am astonished that some of our supporters still think everything is going along just fine and dandy.

In all other clubs, it would be the manager that shoulders the blame, but for some unknown reason in our club, Pochettino has become untouchable. Even Billy Nicholson was shunted out, when it all started to go downhill. Pochettino cannot just have a job for life, no matter what the results. He has to be held to account like anybody else who was not doing his job properly.
I think the problem with spurs is the fans are getti g restless and will inevitably want poch out
I think poch might be looking at united and Madrid jobs
Your big players won't stick around and your not big enough or rich enough to compete as much as you might think you are.
You have an OK academy so can't rely on that
Levy don't spend money. Levy should have gone all out the last 2 windows and all he has done is undo all of poch amazing work
The future is bleak

Our manager isn`t the problem, it`s our owners, 18 months with zero new players and when they eventually do decide to spend some money we are still left short squad wise. Enic are a business first and a football club second, they won`t think twice about selling a key player if the offer makes financial sense. Poch has done wonders for this football club, and as yet has not had sufficient enough backing from the owners. As long as Poch keeps delivering CL, Levy will be grinning like a Cheshire Cat, trophy or no trophy.

3rd or 4th I reckon. Plenty of teams will drop points away to Leicester.
There will be a point where they'll string results together and pick up 20 out of 24 points and all will be ok again in terms of top 4.

I’m not sure they’re capable of going on a run like that. It’s been a long time since they have.

We are capable of going on a run like that, and top 4 hopes don't really bother me. I think we will get top 4, the issue for me is whether we'll improve enough to close the gap on the top 2 like we should be doing. We should be going for 80+ points. Then again the points total won't matter as much if we achieve some silverware along with top 4.

Wouldn’t surprise me if we did awful in the league this season, like 7th-10th, but won a cup
Think I’d take that tbh
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Historically when Spurs win a cup, they don't usually finish that high in the table. Double side and 67 side apart.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Have spurs ever won a trophy?

Spurs of old are not even close to being Spurs of today. It's like they've been hijacked. The resemblance between the 2 is non-existent.
Spurs have a healthy history which seemed to dissipate in the new Millennium. 1991 was the last I recall of our notorious Glory Years.
I guess it happens. Look at Manchester United, even Liverpool up until last season. Hopefully we will be back. If not, oh well. There's always local teams such as Bournemouth to keep the spirits up.
I’ve seen little evidence that Spurs are capable of going on such a run. They should get top four, because there’s enough quality in the team. But they’re at a similar level to a lot of teams chasing that top four right now.
If Arsenal and Spurs keep allowing teams to shoot a lot then surely they will stop fluking results. Its strange they are playing completely opposite to Man Utd as in we are the team that allow very few shots and outshoot the opposition but Spurs and Arsenal are getting outshot.
Probably the third best side in the league on paper but with so many personal issues in the squad it isn't looking likely at the moment. Based on what I've seen so far it's looking like it will be who is the least crap out of United, Spurs and Arsenal.
I think it will be United and Leicester who get in. Leicester are playing like a team, the other three aren't. Although that could obviously change as the season goes on.
I really fancy Leicest
Chelsea should be up there, especially if they sort their defence. Much a muchness about United, Chelsea, Leicester, Spurs and Arsenal on recent evidence.
Chelsea have some experienced players to come back and get up to speed. I think they'll be pretty comfortable if they can get CHO and Pulisic in form. I think they may well beat us tomorrow too or at least get a point.
They’ll be just as inconsistent as the rest, I suspect. They need Kante and Rudiger back fit and in form as well because they’re needing to score two or three a game to get three points.
I'm going to wait and see what Kane says after this match.
My beet is he's pretty fed up with the way things are going!
