Ironically Boris is in the heart of the US attending a climate change summit...and Trump hasn't even attended - he's a denier despite his country being one of the biggest contributers

Don’t be counting any chickens just yet cos BawJaws is a devious and ruthless khunt, plus I’m sure there are still plenty of twists left in this shameful debacle

I think he is neither. The bumbling idiot act isn't an act.

A general election is just going to drag the erse out of it even further in all likelihood.

Referendum please, put it to bed one way or the other.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Tend to agree with that TBH. It's highly unlikely that a GE will "solve" anything, as the chances of any party coming out of that with a workable majority are miniscule IMO. Then we're looking at some sort of patched up coalition.

Have always been against a second vote, but I reckon it's the only way to potentially unblock the current stalemate. Of course, if it came out really close again ...

Delay Brexit, negotiate a deal and then put that deal to the people along with the no deal or remain options. 3 options.

But yeah I'll cede your point on ruthless. The fact they jettisoned some very long standing and powerful MPs is indicative of that. But it's temper tantrum stuff.

Would the leave option be done like AV?

Wouldn't that be null and void after today's result?

Unworkable to put a vote to the the people that has 3 options, where 2 are versions of Leave and 1 is Remain. That guarantees a split of the Leaver vote, and that Remain would inevitably come top of the 3 options. Never going to happen in that format ... unless the rules were FIRST to combine the 2 Leave votes to see if the country overall wanted to Leave or Remain. If Remain had over 50% then we revoke Article 50 ... If Remain had less than 50% then we go with whichever Leave option had most votes (The deal or No deal)? ... Maybe not.

Or we could have 4 options in Scotland. No deal, leave with already negotiated deal, remain, and remain+fack England.

That's why I put 3 options. Because they are very different. Also they are the 3 ways forward. Actual scenarios. Pick one.

Referendum is the only way out.

This time not an advisory one so campaigns have to actually abide by the rules.

We voted leave. We have to abide by that.

People need to accept the democratic decision.

The best comment on this ruling that I've seen on the BBC has come from Baroness Shami Chakrabarti 'No one is above the Law. Not Boris Johnson and not his entitled chums'. Her whole live interview was five star.
