He is very bad but it only goes to show what a 'panic buy' in England can cost you.

Imagine your work remit had not been achieved since 1998, would your organisation be getting away with that?

Ok, there are other things the SFA are supposed to meet as targets but No.1 has to be the senior squad make the EC and WC and it has not happened for 21 years, yet nowt changes, no money is earned by achieving qualification ( one of their main excuses for ticket prices) and they toddle on, blazers on, free lunches and nice juicy salaries.

McBurnie wouldn't stand out FOR San Marino so Shankland being considered is no surprise.

A court case they should win it appears.

The contract wasn't valid, why would they pay a penny. If it was coming out of your pocket would you pay 6m you weren't liable for...

I'm pretty sure had Sala survived and banged in the goals "the contract" would have been perfectly fine.

It just seems to me like they're weaseling out of this on a technicality.

Well he would have had to sign a new binding contract which yes would have been fine but that misses the point that he had never signed a binding contract.

I think a valid contract is more than a technicality.

Cardiff recruited Sala while they were in the Premier League and have since been relegated to the Championship.

The Bluebirds believe the transfer was null and void, saying the Premier League had rejected certain clauses requested by Nantes in the original contract and that Sala never had a chance to review or sign the final version, meaning their record signing was not registered as a Premier League player.

For me, that's shady.

It's shady but I kinda side with them that if you ignore the sadness and focus on facts he was not properly registered. A clear intention to make a transaction that wasn't quite completed

Why pay for a player that sadly died. I don't see why money should change hands over this.

Should be null and void IMHO.

I thought both might have come to an agreement to pay half the money to their family.

There's little or no compassion when millions are at stake it seems

Anyone see the Spurs fan on twitter who clicked on the Bayern GIF before the game last night and got 7-2 Bayern?

He tweeted earlier "I was flucking joking you idiots"
