erm... huge contracts been on the table for those who haven't signed, and they haven't signed them.

the article and comments should end here really.

It's too late for that with these players. Moving forward we need to be investing in the playing squad properly.

Stadium is nice but who cares if it doesn't generate money for our core need which is better players.

Nobody is immortal to patiently wait for us to "organically" progress at minuscule levels of net spend.

Calm down luv, it might never happen.

How about Levy, the manager, coaches and players get their wallets out and compensate the fans for what was totally an unacceptable attitude and performance last night.

The players are simply proving they are not as good as they think they are and proving Levy right with the level of reward offered.

but it does.. that's the whole point... we only just built it, were you expecting us to be handing out 300k deals straight away?

we built it and then broke our transfer record, twice, straight after it...

Well clearly not “huge” enough Chronic.

They obviously feel they can earn more elsewhere.

And guess what? They’re right,

We refused to invest when we were in a good place because that was what Levy was happy with. Content that we achieved top four and playing CL - that can't be the height of our ambition and as a club we certainly could have afforded to spend more than we have without ruining the finances.

Whilst i agree on the transfer fee it doesn't really say much. Record fees were always going to be broken simply because of inflation and average players going for previously world class quality fees.

There will always be a club who can pay more than spurs such is the nature of the football food chain
I’m fairly sure the offers made to these lads was above minimum wage

Thanks for her Stadium Dan, it’s a legacy you can be proud of, but you’ve taken us as far as you can, so off you pop.

Clubs consistently below us have spend more on record signings than we have or at least to a higher level. My biggest frustration is that we actually bought cheap with Eriksen/ Alderweireld etc. and had emerging youth develop like Kane.

So considering all those things aligned well. We should have finally invested to get us to proper quality. Now future investments will be on replacing instead of improving.

We could end up spending 5x more than our last window only to still be behind City and Liverpool because we've lost Eriksen and co.

a stupid comment to match a stupid article.

there are clubs bankrolled by oil money, and global superpower clubs who have revenues miles ahead of what we do, and have had for decades, who will always be able to offer more than spurs.

We have one of the best chairmen around but just needs to understand that players are as important as assets. He is too much of an accountant and needs to loosen the purse strings.

Levy is great for the club. The stadium is unreal.

Problem is he isnt a massive football guy with not a massive football guy behind him as owner. Both prefer NFL i reckon.

at the end of the day, whether we like it or not, whether right or wrong, the simple facts are that tottenham hotspur is just another business in ENIC's portfolio... not a rich man's play thing...

we are run accordingly.

have mistakes been made? yes... have they been costly? yes... has levy also made good decisions? yes... have they benefited the club? yes.

the OP just has an incredibly simple mind, and cannot fully understand the situation

If I was young and skillful enough I would play for free for the love of the game. Money? Would make me feel I was playing for a paycheck, not the love and passion and enjoyment of the game
