I have an ominous feeling about Saturday. Early kick off after CL, oppo teams including Brighton will smel blood and think if they can crowd us out and hit us with a break or a set piece, our confidence is low enough that we will wilt. There comes a point when the players perfmances indicate a desire for change. I think we will drop points, and I think that could be that in terms of the Poch era. International break follows.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I didn't know there was an international break again. That would just be the worst thing to drop more points and then have to wait around for a couple of weeks to see how things pan out. Mind you at least we'd get to support a team that can win a match.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Are Spurs ladies any good..... at least they wear the same shirt
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I might support them but difference between Spurs and England, and Spurs ladies is that I'd watch the former 2.

Arsenal? Welcome to the Emirates boys. Stadium is a bit manky now but lots of memorabilia of recent trophy wins
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Arsenal are almost as bad as us.

I think he deserves the season myself as a neutral
----------------------------------------------------------------------
agreed. give him until May and then see where you are.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
7th would be my bet
----------------------------------------------------------------------
And then you could say that he was given a chance and failed. otherwise media and pundits will always say that Poch was treated badly and should have stayed especially after your new boss (let's call him Chris Houghton for the sake of argument) messes up.

Wenger hanged around so long that after he left there was no feelings of 'let's give him another chance' just thanks for the memories and move on. even if we fail with Emery no one will think that Wenger shouldn't have left as he'd outstayed his welcome - much like Poch would have done f you wait until the end of the season before giving him the elbow.

True enough. Similarities between the 2 of us are eerie. Even our teams are similar. top heavy with decent forwards, weak midfield and scatty defence.

Lloris
Sissoko Toby Vert Davies
Winks Ndombele
Lamela Eriksen Son
Kane

I'd play that line up. Rose or Davies it doesn't really matter but obviously Rose has been playing like a bit of a caant at the moment so that's why I picked Davies. Regardless, there is absolutely no reason that team shouldn't win.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Brighton scoring more goals than us comes to mind
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That would make sense if they were a better team than they are. We know we are a lot better and have superior forward players, although I'm still yet to be convinced Kane is back to his best.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Mate.. We are crap & our confidence is probably shot to pieces. If you look at our points total over the last 20 games I'd doubt there's much difference..... Id do it myself but I cant be arsed/too depressed
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So you don't think we can beat Brighton? It's not like we've suffered losses and never recovered before.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This year we have proved we are capable of losing to just about anyone..... Add Tuesday's clusterfack to the mix & I'd say that just about anything is possible. Nobody is questioning we have talent but that aint the whole story... It requires application & commitment. Add in our basket case manager, a short week after a massive CL humping and an early start on the road..... I'll take a draw

Will any of us actually be that angry or shocked if we are 2 down inside 20 mins..... I wont

I think if this isn't a convincing performance the atmosphere at future home games will be absolutely toxic. This should be a brilliant first full season in our new stadium but it's turned into a tragedy of Hamlet proportions.

I actually will be yes. We're playing Brighton, we're not playing Bayern again.

I hope so Chronic. I was really enjoying being a Spurs fan again, even without silverware.

Levy won't pay Poch off though and as he won't resign I can't see the Brighton result having any effect.

Poch won't ask to leave until one of Zidane or Ole get the push. Utd job would appear a step down but as they are cash rich at least he'd have a chance of buying his own players and building his own team which could attract him.

Be interesting to see how Spurs fans would feel about Poch is he left and went to a direct rival. Would they still have affection for him? Real would be a no brainer but it would more difficult to succeed there in my view.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

If Poch left and joined united Sandy would write an article about how he is finished and will bring down Utd from within.

Then if he does well at United Sandy will say that he didn’t really want him to leave Spurs and that he always rated him and was just wumming us all along with his Poch out articles

He's just passionate about Spurs and has a strong opinion is all. What would the forum be like without the likes of a Sandy?
