Sundee is one of our Yes cities and a beacon of hope in our fight for our freedom from the Union.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I read only a few days ago that male life expectancy in (West?) Glasgow is 54 years. Is that really true???
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The West End of Glasgow is one of the most affluent areas of the city, so no.
Typed it in brackets and question marks because I wasn't so sure about that bit.
Have since Googled it apparently referred specifically to Calton, as stated in a 2008 WHO report which has since been considered statistically unreliable due to a number of factors including population size, amongst others:

I only actually read a fleeting mention to it a few days ago and it only just sprang back into my mind again on the back of this conversation now.
Never actually considered shaving after showering.
Problem with multi blade razors is the hair just constantly keeps getting pulled out and stuck in between the blades, meningitis a bit of a job to get it cleaned off.
I think I'll try a safety razor next and see how it gets on.
*meaning it's a bit of a job

Always used safety razors personally, going against the grain gives the closest shave but causes irritation and sometimes bumps.
Never tried cartridge razors, are they any better?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Any brand you'd recommend neo? I'm currently looking at the Wilkinson sword one
Generally use Gillette personally but Wilkinson sword are good as well.
I shave in the shower now - you learn to shave completely by feel and I get a better shave now. Saves me time and I don't have to look at my crusty mug in the morning. that's 2 huge pluses.

The West End is relatively affluent but that's not all of the west of Glasgow.
In answer to the question, it's generally correct. There are a few areas where the life expectancy is sub 60 and as low as 54.
All the usual factors of social deprivation apply.
Saw a young couple of the train into Glasgow last night. They won't even see 30. It's a problem

At the legislation and policy level it really shouldn't be allowed to stand. Even a fraction of the HS2 or hinkley point money spent on social depravation, mental health, social mobility and addiction support would go a massive way to improving what is a multi generational outrage.

I made the switch about a year ago and it makes a massive difference added bonus is that you dry off a fair bit whilst shaving thus saving time
New wilkinson safety razor arrived today, will post my thoughts later

Forgot to update.
Gives a much smoother shave than disposables, and far less painful. The multi blade things just rip the hairs out.
Glad I switched
I can't believe you were a disposable razor peasant for so long
Shame
Bet croobz is a multi blade kinda guy

How often do you use a disposable before throwing it away?
About 3 times. Gives a closer shave though.
That's honestly the first time I've heard someone say disposables give a close shave
They're for kids and women mate, you Wilkinson is a proper lads razor

How do you get the closest shave
