Dawson, semedo, and Yates are expected to be back for our next game vs Wigan,
Sow - sabri yesterday said he was brought off because his calf was tight, and that he has a scan next week but doesn’t expect him to be out for too long.
There’s nothing new on jenkinson, a couple weeks ago they said he’d be out for ‘several weeks’. He might be back during the break, but he’d struggle to start straight away anyways with cash's performances.
Dawson could have played, if needed yesterday, I think he was on ‘paternity’ leave, Yates sounds like he is ready to return, but I am not sure he will get back straight into the starting eleven, who would you drop ?? Jenkinson, early November, Sow difficult to say, but the incident yesterday didn’t appear to bad, he hobbled to the dug out unaided, but Semedo hasn’t been mentioned for a while, but again he wasn’t far off a return a couple of weeks ago. The news on Benny is he maybe long term, and Milosevic appears to have gone quiet altogether. To be fair to Lamouchi we appear to have quality cover in almost every position, other than up front, and players like Yacob don’t even get a look in. I would imagine we will have a couple of 5 booking suspensions on the horizon, but hopefully these won’t weaken the starting XI.
Monkey, I saw Cash play against Barnsley the other week, and it worried me how much opposition were attacking that side - he didn’t look at all comfortable and was caught out of position a number of times - Barnsley should have scored at least 3 goals....but credit to the defence, they stood firm
It sounds like he had a much more solid game yesterday - and there’s no doubt, you can only go on the results and performances - the team have been magnificent so far this season -
Sow and Dawson are the two that Lamouchi will be really hopefully to have back ASAP. The spine of the side is so important to how this side play. None of the injuries, apart from Jenkinson, seem too concerning.
Cash was much improved but he got alot more support as well. A few times against barnsely im sure there were 2-v-1 with the right winger and DCM nowhere to be seen. This week he got that support and dealt with most if not all things down that side as part of a unit.
Saying that Rev, the brentford wingers were slow and he'd have to have played pretty badly to let them get ahead in the game.
With where teams attack, I think teams go down the right just because process of elimination:
go down the middle? straight into sow and watson?... nah.
Left? Tricky left back who can buy a fowl like a scratchcard and watson on the cover?
On the right Sow/Silva sometimes go for a wander to create something and cash isnt a natural RB so theres usually space to exploit with only cash covering
I think Cash has done tremendously well given that he has been thrown in at the deep end. No doubt in pre season they would have done some work around him playing RB as an emergency back up as it would be foolish not to have each player prepared to play in two or three positions. Considering he has no league experience in that position he has done some sterling work there. Every opposition manager will target his flank as he is inexperienced but it is proving the best way for him to learn the role.
He is already more competent there than several proper full backs I have seen play that position for Forest over recent seasons.
That said, a fully fit Jenkinson with his Prem experience will probably win out eventually in the battle for that spot over Cash and Darikwa, you’d think. He is going to have play damned well though. It is great for Lamouchi that there’ll be such competition at right back. That’s without when mentioning academy prospects in that position.
Interesting tactical analysis of the Brentford match.

Cash in the efl and whoscored team of the week
When Jenkinson comes back we might see the same dynamic on the right as we do on the left now.
Where Jenkinson/Robinson are our defensively minded full backs, whereas Cash/Riberio are our expansive wing-back-like options and they rotate in and out based on who their lined up against.
Yes, seems to be Lamouchi method on the flanks. As long as he can keep all of them happy then he will be on to a winner.
Lamouchi is shortlisted for the Manager of the month award for September. Many are decrying it as the kiss of death but it would be interesting if the stats actually backed up this commonly expressed feeling. My guess is that it doesn’t.
Wigan away does have banana skin written all over it, I suppose?
Should be 3,000 Reds at that one. Sold the initial 2,000 and have asked for another allocation. Hats off to Wigan who have priced the game at £10 for adults, and cheaper for concessions, with it being a midday Sunday kick off and also on tv.
Will make it a far more appealing atmosphere than it could have been. Might attract their biggest crowd of the season.
Don Goodmans on the panel so no need to worry, Sabris safe.

His dislike for Forest isn’t hidden at all when commentating, is it?! I’d love to know why it is.
I spoke too soon, but thoroughly deserved.
I just can’t see us falling into the same voodoos and trapping as previous seasons, and I don’t think the MOTM awards gonna do any more or less for our chances of success.
We made it past the first international break, and a handful of bogey teams, and actually broke into the top 6 when given the chance - in contrast to the handful of times we’ve bottled it in recent times. Hopefully the players, sabri, and the fans keep putting in the good work.
