Almost none of this mess is not down to Ole. We will not get relegated so just need to stay brave and tough this out, this is what support is all about, it is never always milk and honey. All of those (other than Herrera) that he has binned, I agree with. This is the clear out we need, all of his signings have been good and have improved the team. We are finding out about the younger players and while there are some like Andreas and Chong I doubt. There is Tuanzebe and Greenwood. There is no manager who could get a tune out of this current team with that midfield. The whole team is a bunch of players from various managers with differing approaches. One thing that would have made it better would have been having a proper Director of Football. We don't have one though, that is the fault of the ownership. This is a 3 phase process and we are phase 1, ground zero. Stick with it, it will improve.

I think it’ll end up dragging on for a lot longer than you envisage. It always does with Woodward.

OGS should be allowed more time, we need to be brave and he needs another full season after this one to check for any improvement. This is the clear out that should have occurred years ago and by going through the players it shows the malaise we have got into with a team full of different managers' players. We need 1 person, one idea and stick with it.

United are not gonna give a Championship level manager from a Pub league in Norway 2.5 years & 300mln+ to spend in the hope he might get it right. I fear he's already failed the audition.... Only a matter of time. It might well be a rebuilding "project" but you are gonna need someone with proper experience and a vision to oversee it. If United fan stopped worrying about his lack of trophies and focused on his development of young players, strong vision of how he wants the game to be played, focus on commitment etc.....you see that Poch is PERFECT For where you are right now. The 30mln quid it would cost you would be the best & smartest signing you'd have made since Fergie left

Giving Ole the job before the end of the season was a criminally poor decision
--------------------

With the Norwegian league due to start again, and Molde looking to bring in a replacement, I think that the timing was kind of taken out of our hands. If Ole didn't return to Molde for the start of the season then it was clear that he was staying on a permanent basis, so we took the decision to announce it before Molde got someone else in.

With all due respect, I don't think Man United give a shlt about Molde... This is OGS we're talking about.... Its not like Getting Pep from Bayern or Barca

Amazingly his contribution wasn’t even the worst on your article, not with MTC and Diamondlights’ words of wisdom.

United actually have a very good relationship with Molde. However, that wasn't really my point. The point being that had Molde appointed a new manager it would have been clear that Ole was staying on permanently. There would have been a media circus about it. Every presser would have been question after question about whether he was going to be given the job on a permanent basis. I guess the club took the decision to avoid that by announcing the decision in the hope that we could focus on football.

Hello, here is my introduction, I need to get this off my chest: OGS should be allowed more time, we need to be brave and he needs another full season after this one to check for any improvement. This is the clear out that should have occurred years ago and by going through the players it shows the malaise we have got into with a team full of different managers' players. We need 1 person, one idea and stick with it.

David De Gea: a Sir Alex Ferguson signing. One of the better goalkeepers in the world, now an experienced head in a very young team.

Luke Shaw: a Louis Van Gaal signing, great going forward, decent defender injury prone but a good attacking threat, no alternative so a sure fire starter in this team.

Harry Maguire: OGS signing the best of what was available to us and an improvement on anything we had. Good signing.

Bailly/Lindelöf JM signings worthy of being part of this team albeit with some deficiencies but need to be kept adding good rotation and squad depth.

Axel Tuanzebe Youth product given a chance by OGS and looks a real 'baller.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka OGS signing strengthened an area where we were very, very poor. Can't believe he was ever a winger but an excellent defender, good signing.

Dalot - JM singing not really seen him do much, other than get injured needed for back up but not convinced now, only young so not ruling him out yet.

Rojo - LVG singing... I don’t mind this guy as a bit of a utility player and cult hero. Must be better than Ashley Young as a reserve left back.

Ashley Young. SAF signing, as a winger, never a fullback, should never wear the shirt again.

Matic: JM signing. I have not idea what has gone wring here, slow lumbering player. needs to go.

Mata: David Moyes signing. Clever, technical, slower than time itself, lovely chap but will Never fit into this counter attack style we aspire to.. mascot at best.

Fred: JM signing.... many have said it Ali Día, Kleberson, Djemba-Djemba sell, sell, sell

Andreas: Youth product promised so much, not developed, needs to leave.

McTominay: Given chance by JM, only legacy staff wise he has left, only decent cm we have, and you can take that as one of 2 indicators.

Pogba: JM signing... sell for the money, he wants to go, it's obvious in tat he is only doing the safe things like sideways passes, no penalty against Rotherham bare minimum, must go, has barely ever delivered.

Lingard: SAF/Moyes. Started so well, I loved him when he started... due to that still a squaddie, but slipping ever nearer the exit.

Martial: LVG signing... God we need him back! Possibly our best player.

Rashford: LVG youth. Simply doesn't have the instinct as a lone striker. He needs to play out wide (or in a 2). He needs a rest the pressure is killing him right now.

James: OGS signing. Was one for the future, good singing and pace will trouble teams, in a full strength team, or rather, a good team, would only be a bench player for the future.

Next phase of sales. Andreas, Mata, Young, Fred, Pogba (the only one not on ability simply he doesn't want to be there), Matic, Jones, Grant.

Being Welsh I'd expect him to be good at signing!

The key thing is that the players limited as they are have to have confidence in the manger who is the person who gives them belief in their abilities, more than anything this is what Klopp is brilliant at.

This United side evidenced against Rochdale, West Ham and Newcastle with not a single shot on goal has no self belief whatsoever and no visible pattern of play, they are looking for leadership and there is none.

After the game yesterday Ole was talking about a lack of belief and confidence which he himself exudes, you can only stick with something if it has a purpose, Chelsea at the start they looked a nieve mess but now are looking a properly coached good together team while we regress every week further into a shell of wrecked confidence

I just don’t think Ole has the personality or self confidence and tactical awareness and the players know it and are totally lost.

The whole point of bringing in Ole - and I remember it at the time being said a LOT on here was that rather than be a chequebook manager like Jose he would be able to get the best out of lesser players.

He can’t even do that.

He isn't a magician... no one could sort the midfield that played yesterday, we do have 6 first teamers out.

posted on 7/10/19

I think he gets forward and adds a dimension, better than Young in any event.

I don’t think it was so much that. But it was definitely getting more out of the better players in the squad. And that’s what’s most worrying, the better players are looking even worse.

It’s all well and good talking about our signings, which weren’t - and haven’t been - that good, but if he’s failing to improve any of the other twenty odd players in the squad then it doesn’t matter about transfers.

But again, with 6 first team players out, is that a fair comparison?
The midfield is different and the key area. McTominay is doing well. No one else is any better than before which indicates a player issue, no one in the midfield has got worse in themselves, only the personel are worse.
