He seemed to recover incredibly quickly...didn't he rupture his achilles? That is a nightmare to recover from usually. Fair play to the lad, he's going to be a top player.

He'll need a run of games and time to get fully match fit after what was a bad injury but the signs look good in the games he's played so far

I hope people don't expect too much from him too soon - he's years away from his peak yet!

We need to make sure he gets regular football so he can develop. I would hate to see us go out and buy someone who plays in his position to the detriment of his progress.

Needs a good sustained run before any real evaluation can be made i'd say...feel sure he'll be right though

He's doing just fine at the moment. I'm convinced him and Tammy are going to become a great partnership.

Add MM in there...and we might just have what Liverpool have got...slight stretch maybe...but

He protected the ball well when he had it, but he struggled to take players on. He’s doing well this early into his recovery, but I hope he can get back on track to being the player he thinks he could be, because he will be playing under the pressure of being one of our best players due to his contrast fiasco.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Nah no extra pressure as far as I'm concerned. What happens in contract talks is between agents and the club, little to do with the player. Same applies to wages etc. Personally I couldn't care less.

Cho is an incredible prospect who just wants to play and I'm very happy that he's all signed up now and he can just go back to being one of the fantastic Class of 19 that we have coming through

we also have Pulisic who is going to get better and is the closest we have to Hazard Pedro type of players, quick direct prepared to shoot from any angle.
i hope we take a close look at Caglar Soyuncu from Leicester as hell be great in a couple of years and is as young as our prospects.

He's earning almost double what Tomori, Mount & Abraham are + more than RLC whose got 50+ PL appearances. Yeah there's pressure on him.

He clearly used the Bayern interest to leverage himself that contract, now he's gotta prove he deserved it.

Thing is if he's as good as he thinks he is, as the club thinks he is, that pressure shouldn't mean anything to him. He's on big player money at his age, part of what'll justify that is big player mentality.

The likes of Mount, Tammy etc will be matching those wages soon enough as well if they carry on performing so it's really here nor there. If Cho performs badly and doesn't meet anywhere near expectation in future seasons then we can talk about not deserving his wages but that's really the worst case scenario.

The club feel that he has all the potential to justify his wages and I totally agree with their decision. Potentially he could become a £100 million player. Player wages are out of control anyway, that's not Cho's problem or responsibility. Just look at what Utd are paying their trashy players. It's laughable.

It's not so much the money itself, it's the pressure that come from it + the temptation to drop your standards because of it. We've seen this movement so many times particularly with English attacking players, they show a bit of promise, get the lucrative contract, and fail to live up to it. Guys like Sterling & Kane are the exceptions.

There's still a slightly distasteful feeling towards the way he flexed Bayern's interest. Agents and/or advisers in his ear doesn't change the fact he submitted that transfer request after half a season in the first team at 18 y/o. It proves he buys his own hype, and with that comes pressure to back it up, it's unrealistic not to expect that.

Hero of Baku on Hudson-Odoi:
‘Really, really happy just playing his football.
He has got such a brilliant mind and he is so confident. When he goes out there, he will try things and he will try it on the biggest stage,’

‘He will do something and you will ask him: “When have you done that? Why did you do that?”

‘He would say “because I've never done it before and I thought I'd try it.”’

'You knew from the way he spoke and the way he is around the lads, the way he holds himself and obviously his ability, he is going to be at Chelsea for as long as he wants to be and then, maybe, on to greater things.'

'I'd say he (Hudson-Odoi) is a level above them (Mount, Tammy, Tomori) or will be.

‘We were in the dressing room last season and the players were saying “HOW is he not playing?”’
‘He was going out in training and tearing some of the best defenders in the world apart. He would consistently be the best in training to the point where some of the best players in the world were standing there applauding what he was doing in training.

‘There’s no such things as nerves for him and he can do these things on the biggest stage in the world as well.’

Facts Rob, FACTS!

If only Cal Hudson-Odoi wasn't grossly mismanaged by Sarri (wasted season of development), could have saved us a great deal of trouble.

Always been one of the brightest and hardest workers in training (along with Mount, Tammy, RJ), whilst Hazard low end of the spectrum in that regard.

Strong drive & mentality to reach new heights the lot of them, unlike Hazard who is content with plateau, turning up to pre-season overweight and half-hearted in training.

No such a thing as mismanagement for the foreseeable future.
Feels marvellous to have management that wont ruin them, value/appreciate their standout (x factor) ability accordingly and willing to extract the best/most out of them to the benefit of the team in short and long-term

Cho has done nothing to suggest that he will fall away having got his big contract and wages. All the guy has ever wanted is to play and prove his worth and I've seen nothing to suggest otherwise.

As for having his head turned by Bayern you can't blame him. He was obviously getting promised all the things he wanted such as regular playing time at the very top level but he still decided to stay here when he easily could have gone there and that's all that matters.

When you look at our record of playing youth prior to this season can you really blame Cho for considering his options ? Especially if he thought that Sarri would be here for a second season.

Fortunately the club have had the good sense to bring through these brilliant young players under a management team that is going to develop them and make sure they play. One of the best things the club has done in years in my opinion.

Very informative video. Rob Green trained with Cho for an entire season so if he's saying that Cho is a level above the rest then who are we to argue

.... Brooks & King tore our amazing defense apart last season. Making Alonso & Luiz look like dummies isn't an accomplishment.

Good link btw. Very informative. But come on Robert.

Absolutely we do. What I meant was as a youngster he will be prone to mistakes and inconsistency, something the fans need to understand and not look upon him as the messiah too soon!

'Azpilicueta just couldn't live with him in training'

Rob with the elaborate insight again
Leave that there, screw Sarri and his "principles"
