Amazing film and amazing performance, my only grievance is that they used flashbacks to explain the obvious. It’s usually associated with lazy filmmaking and such an intelligent movie deserved a better decision during the editing process. His “girlfriend” wondering what he was doing in her apartment and the paper work he takes from Arkham asylum was enough information for the audience.
Other than that I loved it.
Was very good. Especially if you’re a fan of King of Comedy. Joaquin nails it and whether you love or hate comic book movies it’s perfect. One of the best character studies I’ve seen in ages.

Not for me I'm afraid. Don't like comic book heroes or villains, or Hollywood blockbusters except rarely. Generally prefer UK films or European.

Pheonix was excellent. I thought they dragged out the first hour and a half, to be honest, and overused the laugh but overall it was very good.
That Gary G tune was perfect for that scene, shame it was made by a pedo. I loved it in Any Given Sunday as well, another amazing movie that’s worth a watch about American Rugby.
I have never been a great fan of the batman movies mainly due to the villains being crap. The Joker falls in that category for me.
For me the villain only works if you can feel some empath towards him or her.
With the batman movies It is a case of "shoot the effer in the head already".

Mr Freeze was just trying to save his chronologically frozen wife. Didn't have bad intentions until Poison Ivy tried to backstab him.
Very good. Basically a modernized version of Taxi Driver, didn't even need to revolve around The Joker character and it would've held up fine.
Problem I had with it was not depicting an image of The Joker character I have in my head very well, irritated me that he didn't come across as smart what so ever (integral trait of that character IMO). But other than that no problems, loved the concept behind the laugh, very creative.
