Looks good. Not going to get too excited just yet though. Early days.

Looks very good

That loan period at villa did him a power of good

Apart from a few mistakes here and there he deffo looked more solid than Lindelof and i think he should have a few games there to see how he does

He’s the right kind of youth player we should be playing. Ones who have gone out and been on loan and impressed elsewhere rather than ones fresh from the youth teams. The odd gem comes straight from there (to an extent Rashford) but more often than not they’re very raw.

Tuanzebe did it (imo) the ‘right’ way

Yep. Gone out and proven himself in what in a tough league.

Be good if you had a CB worth £80m next to him to bring him on but you don’t.

Always thought he looked a player ever since he did a job on Sanchez at Arsenal. Glad he’s breaking through and think he’ll be good for us. We’ll need to accept a few mistakes as he develops.

Undecided on him as yet. Needs a few more games, which he will get with Lindelof being crap again and Jones, Bailly and Rojo always being injured.

If we sign a new left back, we won't have to worry about our back 5 for a very long time

Being completely honest I'm not too sure about Wan-Bissaka yet either

Far too early to judge yet, he’s looked ok but you can’t make conclusions yet. He has also looked a little nervous a couple times but that’s totally understandable considering the mess he’s playing in.

I was thinking the same. He looks solid defending - like Shaw but going forward he does look poor. I understand defending is the most important thing so he’s hardly a big problem and is obviously prefer him there over our other options but if we have a manager who wants our width to be provided by full backs I really can’t see him as a good option

No way. AWB is quality defensively.

Indeed.

He'll win over a lot of people simply because of his tackling. But a couple of good offensive full backs would genuinely give our attack another dimension. For £50m bit disappointed by what I've seen from AWB in this aspect.

I think AWBs tackle stats are boosted by him having to get back and make tackles after making mistakes in the first place. If it works for him, fair enough but I don’t necessarily think he’s going to be the next flying fullback that a future manager may want - woo, another player the next manager might not rate!

I dont think so with him. I generally don't find 'tackling' stats to be that meaningful but he is actually a very good tackler.

His positioning isn't great though. Was naively caught out once or twice against Chelsea and was again at fault for the Rochdale goal. That aspect of his game will improve though. I'm not sure the attacking side will.

Don’t you think you’re getting a little carried away?

Just on Axel by the way - is there a reason he isn't getting into any of the England u21 squads? Last app was in 2017

Probably not rated that highly by the England set up. Most of the cb’s are young Chelsea lads in the England youth groups. Their academy is way ahead of ours, despite us having some good young talent.

Facking hell.

Been at the club for what, four months? And you’re writing him off already.

It’s sheer stupidity, especially considering how many United players from years gone by have had less than convincing starts to their career at the club but gone onto be brilliant.

You’d more than likely know by now if he was going to become a very good attacking full back. He doesn’t seem to have it in his locker. Doesn’t mean he’s anywhere near a flop or he should be sold but he might not actually ever be a TAA or even a Walker

Agree.

Better players in front of him will help him massively as well
