Striker Options

Have to get this one right.

I'd pay what it took to get Aubameyang, Lacazette, Son or the best in the business from Spain or Germany.

Dembele as the ex Celtic dude? He’d be a good shout. Fast and a good finisher. Zlatan class but very old, and that ship has sailed. Wilson, proven but limited.

I almost feel like we need to sign two of those. I don’t think one is enough. We also need midfielders. It’s a joke how short we are.

IMO, to get back in the title race we would need

An attacking LB
2 CMs that can see a pass and score 8-10 per season
A RW with pace to burn and a good delivery
2 proper CF goalscorers

That 6 top quality players required. It wont be cheap and it's very unlikely we will get our next 6 transfer spot on considering our record post SAF, so will take a while.

I think that's what he mean by short. Short of options.

Exactly. We’re short of quality options. No use filling your squad with rubbish. Also no use going on about youth if a) they’re not good enough and b) they get a token 5 minutes here and there.

If Allegri comes he may well try and get Dybala and/or Mandzukic

Depends who the manager is and who it will be in the summer.

If the club don't plan to keep Ole past June then I don't want him spending the money in January.

I'm not sure Wilson or dembele are anything more than a temporary fix, an improvement but not enough to propel us to the next level. So I'd rather we went for an older, cheaper short term option.

I’d like us to go all out for Timo Werner in the summer

Mandy as a short term boost. Take some pressure off of Martial, Rashford and Greenwood. It’ll allow us to see where the next coach stands with regard to Martial and Rashford playing as strikers as well.

The return of Welbeck.

Bring in Poch and give Spurs £150 million for Kane in the summer

Jesus robb. That’s some coin on one player when literally the rest of the squad needs work.

If Utd are looking short term then Cavani’s contract is up in the summer - he’s a striker that scores goals and works his nuts off for the team.

Getting a top striker like Kane would give us time regarding the other positions

I see us needing to spend a good £250 million per summer for the next couple of seasons

Would be happy with this...

Kane £150 million
Ndidi £50 million
McGinn £50 million

We should sign Messi and Ronaldo while we’re at it.

Apparently Messi was looking to leave Barca a season or two ago but no one wanted him. Strange

I actually almost agree with you.

Don't know what all out means but if you mean Lukaku-ish money then yes. Unfortunately he'll be Lewandowski's resplacement at Bayern whenever they decide they want to pay up.

Cant see Kane leaving Spurs for a long term project like United. Hed want the realistic chance of titles and major trophies

Arent we all onnthreafs like this?

As for Kane, he is the type of player we need and £150m is the sort of fee it would take.
