Why do people go on about moving Ole to the DoF role when for one Woodward doesn’t want one, secondly why would Ole even consider it and thirdly, what has Ole even done to suggest he’s the right guy for it? If his transfers so far are to go by well end up with an all British XI fighting for a top half finish.

Was going to post something similar once I’d read the OP.
The only reason people would suggest this is that they feel bad for Ole.
You can’t appoint people on those grounds. That’s no way to run a football club and would likely lead to more failure for United.
Put the sentiment to one side and start making sensible decisions as a club - from top to bottom.
