If the luck remains with Lamouchi and the team avoids any long term injuries to any of the core players then it is looking good.
Objectives for the next few months would be -
Bring Walker back from Lincoln in Jan and maybe add another striker to the books. Send Mir back to Wolves if he isn’t up to it.
Get Lolley and Carvalho firing on all cylinders so they're scoring and creating more chances.
Get Worrall sorted with a contract extension to ward off any potential suitors in January.

Just hope the dreaded MOM curse doesn’t strike against Wigan.😁

Pretty sure I read somewhere that Worrall signed an extension to either 2022 or 2023. As such, the rumours were nonsense.

Agree with the signings. 1-2 strikers and 1-2 wingers.

Will, I can certainly see signs of Lolley regaining his form, Carvalho on the other hand looks totally bereft of confidence, and tbh I just can’t see where his next goal is coming from, playing him out wide is wasteful, and really serves no purpose. Lamouchi needs to either accommodate him in his favoured, more central role, or drop him, Imo. Carvalho apart, I can’t fault any other Lamouchi decision att.

He extended it the other year. Always wary of giving players too longer contracts but it has to be balanced with showing other clubs that Forest really intend to keep him and won’t entertain any interest.

The issue with Carvalho is that he const £13m so there will be pressure from the owners to play him. That’s always the way with the big signings. Lamouchi seems fairly single minded, as O’Neill was before him, so the fans have to go with the manager’s decision should he decide to sideline Carvalho a little and challenge him to up his game. This includes refraining from chanting “Carvalho” at the manager every five minutes. I’m sure if you asked O’Neill he would say it is a distraction he could’ve done without last season.

Agree that Carvalho is no use out wide. He isn’t particularly pacey so isn’t going to take people on out there. His strength is picking out the runners from a central position . Have to cut him a bit of slack, though, as he missed all of pre-season. Silva has probably proven to be a little more useful on the ball so far this season (I’d put those two in direct competition). He too can be a little wasteful in possession but the manager trusts that he will get it right more often than he gets it wrong. Seems to have an eye for late run into the box so has been more of a threat so far too.
