They could get in someone competent to take over the footballing side of things from Ed.

The guy at Lille, RB in Germany or Edwin VDS. They're not good owners but I doubt they'll leave until they make us unprofitable.

Rumours of our lot doing a counter demonstration.

This. What are you protesting over? The hundreds of millions they have provided you with the last 5 years?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Are you thick or just trying to wum? Pretty sad either way tbh

I despise United btw, just not an utter clown

Obviously fans want to be seen as doing something but they really are toothless against the Glazers.

So it’s a protest over them spending to much money on the squad 😂

Do we really want to be giving the Norwich City shop more money? They are already arguably better than us and they may finish above us. This could do more harm than good to our season. This is coming from a big United fan as well btw guys.

it is a genuine question though. They have spent slightly less than Man City so it can't be that.

Is it because Ed Woodward is getting a free reign at how to run a club badly and they are not intervening?

Love how they are going to protest but need time to get to their seats for kick off

They haven’t provided Manchester United Football Club with a single penny.

They didn’t buy the club with their own money, borrowing from others to complete the purchase before transferring their debt to the club.

Since then they have taken nearly £1bn out of the club in dividends and loan repayments.

They’ve raaaaped the club.

There is also this.

They’ve installed an executive board which knows absolutely nothing about the game, and left an incompetent in control of football strategy for six years.

I think this is a good thing. Protest about the owners before the game but fully get behind the players when the game starts.

It is a tricky one.

The foreign ownership, the borrowing etc. has never felt right to me and I do feel that it continues to erode the culture of our club.

Hard to comment on their direct management of the club, but the output of whatever they're doing seems to enhance the view above; that being a focus on money making and economics, rather than success on the pitch and the good of the fans.

That said, the levels of investment into the first team cannot be criticised - more than enough money has been spent for United to be challenging at home and abroad.

And in reality, how many sporting powerhouses are owned by local businessman or fans anymore? What are the alternatives?

I'm really quite undecided on this one.

Standard these days - a really childish reaction to their club's recent success.

I very much agree that they've released enough funds for the team to be much better. However, they've totally neglected the structure of the club.

I'd liken them somewhat to the rich businessman who thinks he can treat women how he wants just because he's got money. Just because he spends on them doesn't mean he doesn't treat them like crap.

The Glaziers have milked Utd but at the same time they've not done a Mike Ashley since they've spent a lot of the clubs income on transfers. Issue is ofc them letting Ed run the footballing side for so long despite being well out of his depth and spunking hundreds of millions away on players and managers who are failing. He seems untouchable

I tend to agree, although I have to be honest and say I don't know enough about the investment and management of scouting, youth teams etc. to have a strong opinion on that.
