England FA fella talking up the protocol and advocating zero tolerance. Not sure he’s thought that one through.
What's the threshold, one fan, 10 fans?
The protocol if enforced is fine. Far far far more people suffer from the match being abandoned that are innocent than are participating in the abuse so just immediately abandoning it is stupid and yet more emotionally driven reactionary drivel.
It's horrendous behaviour and should be stamped out but why make the other paying fans suffer.

No offence but this is the exact kind of leniency why UEFA continue to bumble over this issue.
Ending the game is fine with me. Slap an automatic 10-0 result on the match and ban them from the tournament.
Going off should be the first resort.

Surely the stamping out of racial abuse has to take precedence over the continuation of the match.
You’re either zero tolerance on racism or you’re not.
It's not as bad as you're making it out to be. I mean I can see why they'd do it because abandoning a game affects all the innocent fans from both clubs and there are more of them than the racists.
They obviously need to find a way to stamp it out completely but that's going to go beyond the confines of a football stadium.
